Hotels near Mutrah Souq, Muscat

Our first visit to Oman and Muscat and I would say, without a doubt, the very best place to stay there. The hotel was superb from beginning to end and a lovely, helpful, welcoming and accommodating staff. We booked a premium room with balcony and Seaview, and it certainly did not disappoint. It had great facilities, was cleaned and attended to daily, and was spotless. It had a super balcony, with chairs and footstools to relax in the evening time. The breakfast was lovely with a great variety of cooked and fresh produce on offer each day. We ate in both Come Prima Italian Restaurant and Dukes Bar Restaurant in the evenings and the food was delicious, with great service also. The shuttle bus, which takes you into town either in the morning or evening is very useful, as parking is at a premium in the old city, although we did drive in on one evening and got lucky with a parking space on the Corniche. We used the shuttle on our first evening to go visit the Mutrah Souq and it was so convenient. The pools and sunbeds are fantastic, allowing for a very relaxing time during the day if you wish to just pass away the hours soaking up the sun. The private beach, accessible by a set of steps, is also quite secluded. Would definitely recommend this hotel for any stay in Muscat. While it is classified 4*, it has everything that would merit 5"! We enjoyed every moment. A memorable break in Oman.

The W Muscat stands out for its modern design, excellent location, and comprehensive facilities, making it a great choice for travelers seeking luxury with a touch of the unique W personality. Whether it was lounging by the pool, indulging in the culinary delights, or simply soaking in the views from my balcony, my stay was memorable. I look forward to returning to the W Muscat and exploring more of what the hotel and the city have to offer.

This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It truly deserves more than its 3-star category. The rooms are very clean, the location is perfect in the heart of Muscat, and the staff are exceptionally kind and helpful

The hotel is outstanding in any respect: the rooms are large and provide all amenities you would expect, the bathrooms even have a bathtub. The hotel has several restaurants, a large gym and pool area in the basement and a large pool area outside. The restaurants offer a wide selection, food and drink service at the pool starts around lunch time. Most of the items are available through room service 24h. Breakfast is served in the main restaurant and offers both regional and western items. Staff is abundant, very welcoming and competent. If you have a question or a problem you do not have to wait long until someone will assist you. A tour operator has a desk in the lobby where you can book activities. The hotel is located in the heart of the Ruwi business district. Muscat is a car-centric city, walking anywhere else is hardly possible. Sites like old Muscat or Muttrah as well as Qurum Beach are a short taxi ride away.

The Al Falaj Hotel is just fantastic! Excellent room service and front desk support. The breakfast is excellent. A pristine, well-kept setting! The wonderful pool is great for both kids and adults. Enjoyed, enjoying the steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi. Fantastic hotel in a great Muscat location. Pleasant staff and service. The organization of the rooms, dining areas, restaurants, meeting rooms, and party venues is impeccable. The lobby is gorgeous, and most guests are tourists. Being a family hotel, we had a lovely time there. Both residents and visitors to the area can enjoy a very excellent tea corner with a variety of tea and coffee. It is a reasonably priced piece of real estate. The Al Falaj Hotel provides ample parking, and all popular destinations like Mutrah, the corniche, Riwi, and the Royal Opera are within 10 to 15 minutes' driving distance.
