it’s awesome location and the castle itself. it’s the only location in Europe where I gave 100% everywhere the best score. we just stayed over night without breakfast but I bet the meal would be as great as everything else was. if I would have had more time I would have stayed longer there. for me the WiFi is important and it worked. compared to all other locations in Netherlands, including Britain, it was pleasant. even VPN worked what doesn’t work in other places.

Beautiful house in lovely grounds. Very peaceful in spite of being not far from a road. Quirkily and beautifully restored 17th century,large house. Large comfortable bed, and excellent shower. The whole building has been restored and fitted with sustainability in mind, but without any loss of comfort or luxury.

Hotel Royal is in the center of IJmuiden and is only a 20-minute walk from the IJmuiden-Newcastle Ferry Terminal. Front desk is opened from 08:00 hours till 21:30 hours. We have free Wi-Fi.
