Service, breakfast and dinner, clean, silence, friendly owner, everything was good!

We absolutely fell in love with Bissa Villa! The gardens, the pool, the bungalows, the scent of flowers, the sounds of birds and other wildlife.. it was truly paradise! ;-) The welcome from the two hosts, a wonderful couple, was very warm. They showed us around the property and offered that we could still have dinner at their restaurant The Train Hut (even though we arrived late). We ended up eating there every single night during our stay! They offer a fantastic combination of Sri Lankan - backpacker - Western style food, which is a hit for every tourist, of course. The pool was very relaxing after a day out in the "Golden Triangle", and the breakfast pancakes (Sri Lankan style, sweet pancakes, rolls with honey and cardamon and coconut) were favorite for our kids. And they had proper coffee! You could tell the hosts have been to Europe, as they spoke very good English and knew what their customers want. A touch of home combined with the adventures of Sri Lanka! Our hosts had some very entertaining stories about how they chase away monkeys off the property, as well as elephants that visit in the night (not during our stay).

We had such a nice stay in this small hotel. It is very nicely located 10 minutes from the main road at the border of a big lake and many rice fields, full of birds and monkeys. We had a very beautiful spacious house for ourselves. The food was delicious and special. The ayurvedic treatment was good as well. And very friendly staff!

Uniquely designed lodge with an air con and WiFi. Wild and civilized at the same time. Thank you so much Prabarh, you are the best chef and butler in Sri Lanka!!

Lovely, comfortable and homely place to stay and relax nearby the pool. Excelent service and very friendly staff. Very tasty and fresh food. Clean rooms with modern bathroom and very comfortable bed. Just one night was enough to feel like at home. I was offered ayurveda treatments and I can highly recommend them as an amazing relaxing experience. Thank you Tropicara for your hospitality!

This place has its own serenity and beauty.. Food was amazing & pool and jacuzzi are must try.. Thank you for celebrating my bday Alba 🎂 you made it special :) She gets along very well & there is a personal touch. would recommend & love to visit again. If you are a nature person, please do visit.
