The view, the staff and service.. everything!

Along the Mekong river, this hotel has all different little buildings circling a beautiful garden, but the origin of the buildings is the most interesting. The owner relocated original, wooden buildings from around Laos to the property, so nothing you see is the same, and every room is different. What you get is a totally unique experience and that experience is very comfortable, quiet, amazing - while also feeling out in the country-side. Good for people who are not too particular about smooth luxury, and who are in need of beautiful surroundings. The bed was great, and the room had a homely feel with the convenience of a good bathroom and mine had a kitchenette. The staff was beyond good, and everyone there was ready for a chat if you wanted so. The breakfast was the best I had in Luang Prabang, and the little bar being open while the sun sets gives everything a feel of a relaxed holiday. The resort (no pool) is next to a small temple, and there is a shuttle bus taking you back to town (5 mins) to go to the nightmarket. Walking to the market was about 25 mins. The hotel also organised a Waterfall and a Mekong river cruise for me, which were very good.

This is honestly one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed. The villa was absolutely beautiful with lovely local details such as the design and decor of the rooms, and being right on the river was truly magical. Best breakfast setting I've ever experienced, and a serene, relaxed location. I'll definitely be back.

While the hotel may be located slightly out of town, the hotel provides a buggy to transport you to Luang Prabang night market / various other locations in town! Free of charge The hotel even provided free pickup from the airport and transport to the railway station during our stay. There are no ride hailing services in Luang Prabang hence this is so important! They have a WhatsApp service that is very responsive which makes it so convenient to answer any questions / book the transport as well.

I felt at home from the moments I stepped in the Garden House! Immaculate clean apartment, very large space. The hostess is the warmest person I have met in the whole SE Asia. She has hired very service minded staff and they are always ready to help. I got so much better service than if I had checked in a regular hotel. We really appreciate we were assigned a ground floor apartment so my husband didn’t have to climb many stairs with his bad knees. We also have been served the best breakfast we have had in whole Laos. Delicious and always freshly made. Homemade jams and homemade soy milk! We couldn’t ask for more. Definitely a place to recommend to everyone I know. P.S. you are welcome to pick fruits and veggies from the garden - it is a lovely thing we were allowed to do.

We were planning to stay for one night but extended for two more nights because we loved it so much! Pinky was the most amazing host and made us feel so welcome. She gave us recommendations on where to go, we could take bicycles for free and there is a free shuttle to the night market. The pool is incredible the beds are really good, there is a smart tv so you can watch Netflix, a fully stocked mini fridge and fresh towels every day. Even after my stay when I accidentally left my card in an ATM machine I could message Pinky and she helped me find the right resources to get it back. She’s honestly the nicest person ever. Thank you so much for our incredible stay!
