We are huge fans of the Toyoko Inn chain. The hotel in Daegu had everything we expected: the rooms are spotlessly clean and well thought-through to make the stay as comfortable as possible for each traveller (high bed under which you can store luggage, desk, mini-fridge, water kettle, free shampoo, conditioner and body wash, clothes line in the bathroom to dry clothes, etc.). The bathrooms are typically Japanese and super efficient. The breakfast is a delicious mix of Asian and Western options and organized efficiently. The Daegu hotel even exceeded our expectations: the rooms were huge! And some came with nice views. We also loved the location right in the middle of the shopping district with lots of restaurants and cafés nearby. There is a 7 Eleven convenience store on the ground floor of the hotel. We would definitely return, because this hotel is such good value for money.

Spacious room, great location - only 10 minutes from Dong Daegu station by walking. They offer complimentary breakfast. There is a japanese toilet and bathrobes in the room as well as an air purifier. They clean the room only if you ask them to.

This is a great find! It’s hard to find a hotel suite big enough for 8 people, but this place delivers. All four rooms are spacious, and all three bathrooms have a bathtub and a rain shower. It was a cold night, but the whole space remained toasty despite the high ceiling. The kitchen has basic wares, enough for drinks and snacks. It’s the perfect place for a big group.

We loved the apartment. It has all the possible comforts, clean and cozy. They thought of everything: water, food, coffee, cookies, bathroom accessories.... even Netflix! The apartment is next to the Seomun market and very close to the center

First of all big thanks to the hotel staff. They are amazing and absolutely made our stay very memorable. The hotel is in the heart of Daegu, within walking distance to many restaurants, Seomun market, and museums. It also can be easily reached from a train station with the metro. The room was equipped air conditioner and air purifier, and the bed and bedding were very comfortable. The hotel provided bath robes, lotions, shampoo, and body wash for our comfort. Our special thanks for her extraordinary hospitality to Kim Seunghye :)

Only a 5 minute walk from Seomun Traditional Market and bus stops only 300m away from Hanok. Buses can take you into the heart of the city or to other tourist locations you may want to explore. The Seomun Market also has a night market with lots of food stalls open, and a lovely vibe. The staff at the Hanok always responded to queries quickly and were very friendly. The bed is traditional Korean futon, so we found it a bit hard, but it's all part of the experience.

This place is close to three train stations, and a two bus stops. So we can get around Daegu easily. Seomun Market is close, also several businesses. Breakfast was good in this place. We had to cook our own eggs (except boiled eggs) and sandwiches, but there were choices. Kids loved the iced tea. The lady at the front desk was informing us about rain alerts etc so that we can plan our programs.

Hanok 1957 is close to major attraction like Seomun market and Dongseongno (within 15 min walking distance). The room is cozy (especially in early winter). The host kept the property well and was very helpful with giving directions and provide tips for our visit
