Absolutely everything!! This place blew our minds :) Thank you so much Bayon Modern Residence. From the moment Mr Thom picked us up at the airport, to the moment we said goodbye, we were treated like royalty. The staff are super friendly and they go out of their way to assist. The hotel is beautiful and well designed. Feels like a 5 star hotel, great value for money. Highly recommended.

Came here for three nights around my concert in Siem Reap. While just minutes away from nightlife, restaurants and such by tuktuk, it feels miles away from the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap. Coming back after a day scurrying over Angkor Wat in the blazing sun, I could sink into the beautiful infinity pool, and for an even deeper meditation, the massive bathtub in each room allows complete immersion. I love the modern concrete simplicity of the bathroom, and the bedroom itself is elegant and charming. At night the property's own rice paddy is populated with frogs that beep and squawk and chirp, it's very relaxing. The food is excellent, incredibly cheap. Everyone working there is gracious and discreet. The internet is rock solid, if for some reason you have to catch up on work or call home or post your humblebrags about being in Cambodia, you'll have plenty of speed and bandwidth. Plenty of extras here - free pickup from the transportation nodes in the city when you arrive; the have some shuttle service into town as well. There was a free 30-minute massage included with the room DO NOT SKIP THIS. This was heaven, and after a day at the temples, this will set you right. Everything was spotlessly clean, and don't worry the frogs do settle down and the nights are very quiet. I did not want to leave, in fact, my experience became more about enjoying this hotel than almost anything else about Siem Reap - to be fair, I was a little under the weather, so while I mustered the strength to spend two days at Angkor Wat, which closes in the late afternoon, I returned each evening to the hotel eager to profit from its peace and rejuvenating qualities. For those going to Angkor Wat, it's about 20-30 minutes away by tuktuk from here. But consider that a plus, being just off the beaten path enough to give you some space when you'll really appreciate it.

We stayed at the property for 3 nights and loved it! The staff were unbelievably welcoming, kind and helpful. The hotel offers free Tuktuk rides to the city. They helped us organizing trips to Angkor Wat and the floating village. Besides the beautiful property (with large and clean rooms) and the kind staff, they offer the most amazing breakfast! It includes everything you could ask for. The pools are large and clean and the free massages were really nice! We would recommend this hotel to everyone traveling to the area!

Great location, quiet but within walking distance to pubs and restaurants - very comfy big bed - staff very attentive and organised a wonderful day to Angkor Wat, breakfast on the lake in a dragon boat, more temples finishing off with lunch next to the rice fields a beautiful day with a wonderful driver and guide. Also organised a trip to the floating village where we saw the sunset - beautiful. Restaurant staff were very attentive and super firlendly - thank you for an amazing stay!

Hak, Lyna, Phy, Nith and Leak were all very kind and ready to accommodate all of our requests. We booked two tours through them (Angkor temples and Floating village) and it was all excellently organised and the tuk tuk drivers were very kind and attentive. Overall we had a great experience staying here!

At first, we were a bit startled by the bumpy access road full of potholes, but our impressions quickly turned positive. The host was very kind and arranged everything perfectly for us – temple tours, a visit to the floating village, airport transfers, and even a tuk-tuk driver for the whole day. The breakfast was excellent. The room had no windows but was clean and had a mosquito net over the bed. We recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience authentic Cambodia.

Loved everything! Breakfast has simple options but very delicious, you get free water 24/7, the pool is really chill and we got to play with some local kids there. All the workers are super friendly and helpful! We also booked some tours (Angkor Wat, Floating Village) for a really good price through the hotel. The night markets and pub street are only a 5min walk away.

Definitely good location. Safe place to stay, I feel very welcomed as a female solo traveler during this time. All the staffs were very friendly and welcoming, especially the front desk manager (the tall one) who was very helpful and well spoken in English. He always understood what I wanted quickly, I didn’t have to explain much! Room 218 was spacious and clean. The tour arrangements to the floating village and the Angkor temples were great and my tuktuk driver was really nice!

Ask about snake soup!

Ask about snake soup! Our tuk-tuk driver Roni took us to the floating village and stopped at a roadside restaurant on stilts with hammocks as seating and introduced us to snake soup. We picked out our snake from a barrel/ceramic vase. It was an experience! Not bad but not something I would consider on my menu of choice again.
