Rooms are renovated in Japanese style and I loved it. Views are impressive. Taken the first coffee facen the Fuji in your room is a total experience. The staff was so nice. And I highly recommend the dinner in the hotel!!!

I think this may be my favourite hotel. The hotel & grounds are beautiful, the view is stunning, and the in-room private onsen was so amazing. Plus all the little touches made the experience so memorable - (mostly) refillable complimentary mini bar which had bottled beer, juice, and snacks, the scented volcanic rock and volcanic rock filtered water, the in-room fire that the staff can set up for you, and the filter coffee equipment, pajamas, and loungewear that is available! There is also complimentary free flow tiny canned beer, juice, and milk coffee from the public onsen, outdoor public fireplace that the staff can set up for you in the evenings, and the wi-fi is great. As a group of 7, we were provided the restaurant private room for every meal, with a beautiful view of the grounds. Truly had a magical experience at Fufu.

Lovely hostel near Lake Kawaguchiko. The beds were comfy and had a small place to lock valuables, a light & an outlet. There was a big kitchen with everything you need and a big common area, so there was plenty of space to relax after a day of exploring. The location is perfect, close to a bus stop, a 2 minute walk to a Lawsons & a short walk to the lake. All the areas in the hostel were kept very clean, including the shower & toilets. We also got a voucher for free laundry which was great.

Staff very friendly, great location with mount fuji views. Traditional Japanese breakfast was amazing - provide us an amazing experience. We had a great view to the lake Kawaguchiko from our room. The hotel provide a pick up service from the station which was very helpful when we arrived.

Beautiful traditional hotel, right next to Lake Kawaguchi. The staff are absolutely wonderful - super accomodating and friendly. Our double room (lake facing) was beautiful, and we're glad we opted for lake view, as Fuji wasn't visible for most of our stay. The onsens are brilliant - so relaxing and fitted with lovely seated spaces with body lotions when you get out. The shuttle bus was a huge plus - very efficient. Overall lovely stay and we're pleased we booked!

Beautiful hotel, with fantastic views of Mr Fuji and over the lake. Easy to get to, pick up service from the station. Welcoming staff on arrival. Great spot for sightseeing in the area. E-bikes for use. We rode around Lake Kawaguchiko. The rooftop bath is the place to go after a day’s sightseeing. You need to book at reception. We also had breakfast at the hotel, views over to Mt Fuji and plenty to eat. Would highly recommended this hotel.

Lovely hotel with a gorgeous view of Lake Kawaguchiko and Mt Fuji when she decides to come out from behind the clouds. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It has a public bath, which I had all to myself one night. An easy walk to local shops and attractions. Kawaguchiko is a 25 minute walk away.

The hotel is well located a short stroll from the station and an easy walk to Lake Kawaguchiko and the rope way to view Mt Fuji. The onsen was great and the rooms are traditional and very comfortable.

The hotel location is great – even though there’s no direct view of Mt. Fuji, it’s only about a 20-minute walk to one of the best viewing spots by Lake Kawaguchiko. The staff were very friendly and helpful. While the service may not reflect the typical high standards of a traditional ryokan, they genuinely did their best to accommodate guests. The buffet meals were good – although they describe it as a “Western breakfast,” there were plenty of Japanese options available for both breakfast and dinner.

This is a beautiful hotel on the bank of Lake Kawaguchi. We had an amazing Japanese-style room. It had all the amenities and two large beds. The room was spacious and comfy. The best thing about the hotel was their onsen. We had 5 different hotels with onsens during our trip in Japan, but the onsen in this hotel was definitely the best. Would love to come back to this hotel on my next trip to Fuji.
