Hotel is just across the road from Hakata station. Staff are very patient and helpful, and took time to help my wife and daughter arrange for an appointment with the hairdresser (apparently hair salons only entertain appointments and not walk-ins in Japan).

Hotel Torifito was a pleasant stay for our time in Fukuoka. Great distance from Hakata station and travel on the metro was nearby. We mostly walked to places we wanted to go within Fukuoka city (Tenjin, Canal City) all within 30 mins walk max - when we were lazy we just caught the metro. The complimentary tea/coffee and water station is always a bonus (though coffee machine only available during staffed hours) Rooms were small but pretty typical for Japan - you make it work.

Good location. It's near a supermarket, the local fish market and small restaurants. 1 km away from Hakata Station and 3 blocks away to the Tenjin area. 10 minute walk to Canal City. The rooms were well designed and big for Japan hotels.

Location was excellent. Easy to get to from the airport. In the city centre and very close to public transport with Hakata Station very close and Shinkansen trains. As a budget hotel the rooms are small - as all budget hotels are in Japan - but this was on the bigger end. Rooms are noticeably bigger than APA hotels. I would stay again

The location was convenient but it is a bit further away from Hakata station. If I am not mistaken the hotel can only be reached via taxi or bus. As almost everywhere in Japan there are convenient stores within 3-5min walk and also some restaurant options nearby. Thanks to the night staff assisting me to get a taxi for a very early flight. That was very helpful.

Nice hotel near the Hakata station (take the underground passage to Gion, P4 exit to avoid traffic), clean and decent room where you get your own PJs for your stay. For a small extra charge you can do a late checkout, but that was easily fixed, the staff is really nice! The izakaya next door is lovely (only Japanese menu), so check it out

Hotel is easily walkable from Hakata station and an easy stroll to Nakasu for Yatai food stalls , shopping and bars. Staff are extremely attentive and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Super clean, comfortable room with closet for bags and hanging clothes. Hot bath in basement to relax in after a day out was most welcome! Breakfast was the best we've had in a Japanese hotel, absolutely superb. There is a beautiful Shrine with large grounds right next door that you can walk it off before you get stuck into exploring the city!

I chose this hotel mainly because of its proximity to Hakata station and also the size of the room, which is larger than the usual 11m2 in Japan. The hotel was clean, with helpful staff. We also liked the parking right next to the hotel. We were very pleased with the Ramen for breakfast.
