Best bed I've had the pleasure to sleep in for a long time. The room was huge! We had 227 and it was exceptional. The grounds are magnificent and my daughter and I loved walking down by the lake and stream. Magic.

The room with a castle view was truly impressive, and the overall space was very cozy. The staff were exceptionally kind, and the breakfast menu was great. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay. Free parking place - good service!

Reading signs posted on the Self guided tour gave a great history of Kilkenny, the family, royal connections, and history of the local area. Beautiful architecture, period decor, furniture, paintings, sculpture etc. The gardens and childrens' playground was definitely worth the time to enjoy!

The room was huge and being able to walk through the garden to Kilkenny castle was very nice. The breakfast room experience was very classy too. My gps had issues locating the hotel which was a bit frustrating. Some info on where to go for the parking ahead of arrival would be helpful as it’s not possible to park on the road in front of the hotel. Otherwise great location easy walking distance to the restaurants, castle and river.

The location was perfect. In the heart of Kilkenny city and close to shops, bars and restaurants. The view of Kilkenny Castle was lovely. This hotel is located beside the river and is very picturesque. Our room was spacious and very clean. The bed and bed linen were extremely comfortable.

Hotel in a great area with kilkenny Castle in the background but entrance was hard to see from the street while driving, needs to have more sinage as it is really narrow entering the hotel, our bedroom was outdated it needs repainting and brought up to date, no USB port and very noisy from hall outside our room on the second floor also alot of noise from outside reception area. Food was amazing and staff were friendly efficient and helpful.

The location is central and great walking access to every where. Literally two mins walk from Kilkenny Castle. The room was quiet, warm, very comfortable. Reception was helpful and solved all queries. Breakfast was amazing with choice as well as very tasty. Just one thing, the evening menu was very limited. We had a beautiful carrot and ginger soup for lunch served with Guinness bread. An experience not to be missed. Overall, I highly recommend staying here when you are in Kilkenny. It has a safe and private car park too.

- Ciara was very lovely and typically replied within minutes. I stayed in Kilkenny for 2 nights with 3 friends and we were offered an upgrade to stay at a different accommodation at 6 Watergate, Kilkenny, Eircode R95P2YX, which we appreciated. - Excellent location. The accommodation was about a 10 - 15 mins walk from the train station and was within a short walking distance to many restaurants and pubs nearby and Kilkenny Castle

Perfect spot for exploring Kilkenny only a short walk from Kilkenny Castle and plenty of Bars and Cafes. The room was spacious with plenty of room and a lovely King Bed.

It was very conveniently located near Kilkenny Castle and the main street which had bars, cafés and restaurants. Really liked the shower which had good water pressure! The hotel uses an innovative system for unlocking doors which operates through a website. It worked well, though I’m glad I didn’t have to use the backup system if the Wi-Fi went down. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The apartment is the bottom corner of a house in a suburban area about 10 mins walk from Kilkenny Castle. Instructions for finding it and getting in were clear. We were able to park in the driveway. The bedroom was spacious with hanging space and shelves for clothes.The bathroom was small but functional.A dring rack, which we set up in the sunny conservatory meant our washing dried quickly. Milk, water, prossecco, tea, coffee, chococino pods and chocolates were left which was much appreciated.

I have visited many castles around the world, but I was extremely impressed with the detail that has gone into the restoration of the Kilkenny Castle and the information made available about the ongoing restoration. The tearoom was a welcome sight at the end of the tour.
