Staff very approachable and easy to interact with. Evening meal was beautiful. The locals also frequent the bar which is always a good sign. The building had character and history. Room had everything we needed.

The view was fantastic looking out of the bedroom window over Portsmouth harbour and the Spinnaker at night. The room was nice and clean and the lift was perfect for us too. Breakfast was nice and enjoyable

Staff were really nice. Great location to get to the historic dockyard / Spinnaker Tower / Gunwharf Quays shopping centre / Portsmouth Harbour Railway Station / Gosport Ferry. Upgraded to a harbour view room FOC when we arrived - small window but still a very nice view. Breakfast very good. Secure parking very convenient too.

Our room was clean and comfortable, had enough storage space and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast choices were good and constantly being topped up. Location was excellent as we planned to visit the Portsmouth Harbour Museum and the Genwharf Quay. Easy walking distance to both attractions.

The location was excellent and there was parking right outside for the duration of our stay. The host responded extremely quickly to the television not working and we had a new one by the next morning. The kitchen was lovely with plenty of utensils and pans etc with a big table that we could all gather round which was great. There are plenty of pubs, shops and restaurants around and a large shopping centre literally 5 mins walk away along with Portsmouth Harbour station. I would definitely stay here again.

Its a perfect location next to the Historic Sea Front at the mouth of Portsmouth Harbour. The Hotel is just under new ownership/management and our score of 8 also represents some of the fresh vision and commitment to wholesale improvement's - we look forward to seeing the new development's in 2026

Beautiful grand hotel so victorian. Big tv screen The veiw from our room window The Decor Grand staircases The foyer and reception area, beautiful. A mobile heater in the room was a nice touch in case we needed it Iron and ironing board Portsmouth harbour is not to far away and a pleasant walk Food was excellent

This is a lovely hotel that is just a short walk from bus and train station, also Portsmouth Harbour and Gunwarf Quays if you like shopping!! Also a short walk away is Portsmouth Dockyard Museum!! Plenty to do in the area as well!
