We had an absolutely fabulous stay at the hotel! We booked a family room and a classic room for our group of five, and everything was perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner at the restaurant – the food was exceptional! The seabass and ice cream dessert were definite highlights. The breathtaking scenery made our experience even more memorable, and the superb breakfast was the perfect way to start the day!

The Linthwaite House Hotel experience is a must have at least once in a life time. The hotel’s location is superb, the cleanliness level is beyond words, the staff are SUPER HELPFUL and friendly. Jasmine was the cherry on top, the solution oriented and who would never fail to put a smile on your face. Marco saved us by sending hotel’s car to pick us when we got trapped in heavy rain in windermere and were not finding any taxi. Linthwaite, I really hope I can visit again and meet same staff and enjoy paradise on earth.

We stay in Windermere town quite a lot, mainly in the colder months. It's great for walks with dogs or as a couple/ party. Plenty of great eating places and bars, our favourite is brown sugar. Dogs are pretty much welcome everywhere too. There are plenty of hotels, BnB,s and studios to rent and they don't cost a fortune, in fact they are very reasonable priced. We travel by train as the station is a stones throw away from the town. Deffo worth a visit

Stunning.

Stunning. If you're in Bowness and look north towards the mountains north of Ambleside, it's one of the best views in the UK. There is also a viewpoint a little way north on the road from Bowness to Ambleside.

Lake Windermere is very popular and can be busy around the Jetty areas where people take a trip on the water. Just out of town the Lake Jetty Museum show some beautiful boats that have seen time on the water. There is also a trip you can purchase there. For motor fanatics, the motor museum just out of town shows a very extensive selection of cars bikes and motor vehicles of all areas. They also show the world land and water speed records made by the Campbells. Definitely worth a visit if you are Into that kind of thing. A cafe is available. Parking is a available at both places.

The lodge is in a great location with views over lake Windermere, the fixtures and fittings are of a good standard, it was well equipped and very clean. It was a very cold November day when we arrived but the heating in the lodge was already on and it was nice and warm. The site is dog friendly with lots of green space, woodland walks and a secure dog field they can run around in.

The hotel was a stunning building, very clean, and located just a 20 mins walk to lake windermere or a short drive in the car. We booked the retreat suite, with a stunning large sleigh bed and an amazing bathroom, with a double jacuzzi bath with TV, and a walk in shower. The breakfast was very nice and very filling, with the staff so friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure you have a great stay. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing luxury room with balcony, which we did not expect. The hotel is amazing as they take care of the smallest details. In house dining was really good example of fine dining. The grounds around the hotel were perfect for an evening or morning stroll. We went on a cruise around the Lake Windermere in 1920’s wooden boat, such class!! Really recommend this hotel. The staff made us feel really at home
