The property is great but the room was quite small, but i think its expected out of central London area. The room was cosy and clean and had all necessities and more. The staff more than made up for any tiny bit of inconvenience that you may face in terms of room size. They were the sweetest and ensured all our needs were taken care of. Very polite and charming. Great location-Right behind the Buckingham Palace and very near to the Victoria station

Harrods

Department stores don’t come more luxurious than Harrods. Set in an ornate 19th-century building in glitzy Knightsbridge, this shopping emporium boasts a million square feet of retail space. You can enlist the services of gift concierges, peruse the gilded Egyptian-style clothing room or even buy bars of gold! Then there’s the quaint food hall, where afternoon tea is a must-try tradition.

Every time I am in London I go to the Harrods food court, the food is just amazing. Buy whatever delicacies I am in the mood for and then go and eat in Hyde Park. This time I had hubby and the kids with me and they enjoyed my ritual just as much. A picnic in the park is always a must for me and Harrods provides the most wonderful experience shopping for lunch!

The food court was impressive!

The food court was impressive! Sadly, we did not eat in a restaurant here, which I would like to do on our next trip. The escalators were surrounded by magnificent architecture! The toy floor was a delight to our children, but I think Hamleys (?) in Picadilly Circus is better. The ceilings are rather low on the toy floor in Harrods and it feels rather cave like. The lower levels have higher ceilings. Lots to see and buy here!

A great place to visit just so you can say you've been.

A great place to visit just so you can say you've been. Souvenirs are extremely expensive particularly for us Aussies who have a pretty terrible exchange rate currently. Lovely piece of history, but in reality just about everything in the shape is well and truly out of the 'ordinary' person's price range.

The location is superb. So close to the V & A and the Natural History Museum, the cafe culture in South Ken and Harrods but tucked in a Mews where you couldn’t hear any road noise.

There are many small shops to explore, but Harrods is the most amazing! You can spend the entire day there and probably not see it all. There are plenty of places to eat along the way too! You can have proper tea there as well in a very sweet little room (literally sweet ... full of sweets and very feminine looking!) Harrods will have everything you need!
