The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. They were friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic. The hotel is also the closest NICE hotel to the train station.

All was good but especially the bar/restaurant. Not a fine dining establishment but good food and at a reasonable price. Confirmed by the large number of non hotel guests using it. When possible book the table in advance (just by the morning the same day). If not possible the staff are extremely helpful and creative in finding you a table.

Situated in Caen’s city centre, the Best Western Plus Le Moderne is a non-smoking hotel and is just 1.5 km from the train station and 6 km from Carpiquet Airport.

The owners were brilliant! Very helpful. Fantastic location in Caen city centre. 3 min walk from public parking. Rooms were very clean and comfortable.

The staff was very helpful. The room was clean. Although the room lacked air condition (it was okay, because I knew it in advance) and the weather was hot, the climate in Caen helped and the room cooled down during night, so I felt comfortable. There was enough space. The hotel is in the center of the city. I used public transport for transfers, and the bus and tram stops were nearby.
