I liked the location, just 3-minute walk to the main entrance of Alhambra and 10-minute walk to the city center. If one does not feel like walking, there are mini-buses running frequently to and from the city center. However, I preferred taking a taxi when needed to avoid crowds. There are two taxi ranks near the hotel. The hotel is located in a quiet area surrounded by a beautiful park. The interiors are elegant, modern and with a romantic touch. My room was very clean, bright and spacious. The king bed was very confortable. A minibar, a coffe machine and a kettle were also available in the room. The bathroom had both a large shower and a bath tub. Toiletries and slippers were available upon request. The restaurant was good and I particularly enjoyed breakfast for its variety and quality. All the staff was amazing and contributed to making my stay memorable.

Location was exceptional. The grandeur was superb. We loved the breakfast but the highlight was the staff especially Maite at reception who went over and above to help us. Our unexpectedly late arrival, the organising of our trip to Alhambra, our checkout then non arrival of our pre organised transfer and finally her assistance in our departure was invaluable.

The hotel is wonderfully cozy while still feeling elegant, spacious, and beautifully appointed. Every detail feels thoughtful and refined, creating a sense of calm and comfort throughout the property. Despite its ideal central location, it is exceptionally quiet—peaceful in a way that’s rare in the heart of Granada. The bed linens are truly sumptuous: crisp, high-quality, and incredibly comfortable, making for excellent sleep. Visiting in winter, we especially appreciated how warm and inviting the rooms were. The heating system works beautifully, keeping the space consistently comfortable without ever feeling dry or stuffy—something that makes a real difference in colder months. Breakfast was lovely, with small touches like proper cloth linen napkins that reinforce the hotel’s attention to quality. Overall, Casa 1800 strikes a perfect balance between warmth and sophistication—intimate without feeling small, refined without being formal. A deeply comfortable stay and a place we would happily return to.

Central location. The staff went above and beyond. Even before we arrived. A special shout out to Magda who organised a couple of things before we even arrived. Superb. Wonderful room and a lovely breakfast, again where nothing was too much trouble.

We climbed a steep hill to get there ... it took a long time and was very challenging in the heat. When we arrived at the top, we saw people arriving in busses. Had we known, we would have done the same thing. The site is beautiful, with amazing tiles, architecture and history.

The Alhambra is an absolutely exceptional place that must be seen. I also recommend buying tickets to the Nasrid Palaces in advance. We walked through the entire complex for four hours and it is worth going through all the places.

This is an experience you won't want to miss so make sure you book your tickets well in advance. My tip would be to get a taxi to the main entrance and to visit the General Life first. You then walk to the Alhambra and after visiting this area its a shorter walk back to town.

Make sure you book tickets for ALL of it as you’ll get turned away from The Palace Nazaries which has timed slots. Wear good shoes as you’ll walk miles! Print your paper tickets off before going We had bad experience with Play Granada who cancelled our tour with one night to go and we had driven to Granada already. We then spent a stressful night finding tickets But its worth it once you get in there

If this is the only thing you do in Granada then it will be worth your trip here. My recommendation would be to book tickets for an early entry. We started at 8:30 and were pleased to miss the heat of the day and the group tours by getting in early. We ended up spending about 3.5 hours wandering through all the buildings and generalife. The buildings and gardens are all magnificent.

Taking a tour that includes time to see the Alhambra and Albayzín is key, but also take time to walk slowly in the small streets. Stop for ice cream or beer w/ tapas. Look up at the buildings as you walk to notice all the architectural details.
