Worst experience of my life - the place was heaving with...
Worst experience of my life - the place was heaving with people and it was impossible to actually see anything. No organisation or crowd control at all - a complete free for all with no limit on numbers. After queing for ages to get into the complex you then have to fight through thousands of people pushing and shoving their way into the pits. In the end I had to give up because it was just too unpleasant and claustrophobic - not to mention unsafe. If a fire had broken out in any of the pits there would have been hundreds of deaths because there was literally no way to get out because of the crowds. Pit 1 was at least 10 people deep the whole way around. The road infrastructure is also very badly designed and it takes ages to get to the entrance because of the traffic jams. Avoid this place at all costs (especially at weekends and peak times and the whole of July/August). Watch a video on it instead - you'll see more than I did!

You the history of the place. Fascinating! If I were to go again I would go in Autumn or spring when it’s a bit cooler. Incredibly hot in July and August!

Lovely room, comfy bed, peaceful and quiet above a noisy road - I couldn't hear the noise. Friendly staff. Good, strong shower. Lovely room downstairs to sit for breakfast (which we didn't try). Two friendly cats live here. We paid on arrival. Hotel was happy to organise a car and guide for us to visit the Terracotta Army; Peter was a really helpful guide. They also ordered us a taxi when we needed, so they made it as easy for us as possible, which was appreciated as we were newbies to China.

The location is perfect, exactly in the center of Xi'an, walkable distance to the wall, not more than 10 minutes.Muslim street nearby, not dar away from Goose pagoda (a few stops with metro), goof starting point for Terracotta army, because the metro station is nearby. Breakfast is good, there are choice between local and wester food.

The hotel is comfortable, very well placed, and the owner is very welcoming. He speaks very good English and gives good advice for visiting the city and its surroundings. He helped me buy my ticket to the Terracotta Army.

Great hotel with lovely breakfast but what made our stay was the staff. Victor from reception went above and beyond in helping us sort out a double booking issue in which booking.com was really unhelpful. He also helped us to book tickets for the Terracotta army as it was a bit complicated in Chinese. Overall amazing experience with incredible service

The hotel is very nice, with very nice common areas, well located, close to monuments and metro. The staff speaks little English but was always very helpful. The breakfast was very nice and a small buffet of drinks and fruits was available all day. The room was clean and very comfortable. They even offer some tours and activities in town (terracotta army visit, dance show, bike tour...).

The location of the hotel was great, close to the great wall, which is beautiful at night as well as day time. A bit of a distance to the Terracotta Army but close to subway or.ypu van take a taxi to get there

The hotel was very nice. The rooms a bit outdated, especially the bathroom.
The breakfast was great, a big variation of food, European flavors but also Chinese flavors.
The hotel had a very cute doll which you could buy, a terracotta army cartoon like doll

Great hotel: modern, comfortable, clean. Wish we stayed more than one night. Especially because Xi’an has more to offer than just a Terracotta Army trip. Location is also great and at walking distance from both the Southern part of city walls and gate and the bell tower square and the main must-see pagodas.
The atmosphere of this beautiful city is great and the hotel quality does justice to the place.
It was perhaps one of the best price vs quality stays ever experienced.

We arrived at 9 am and were immediately checked in. After we used the facilities in the room and left for the day when we got back in the afternoon, our room was made up with fresh towels and new bottles of water. They also helped us book our tickets for the Terracotta army and suggested sights in the area. The hotel is near the Muslims quarter, and there are good restaurants, street foods, and shopping options within. The nearest metro station is about 10-15 minute walk.
