An old historic building that has been lovingly restored. The rooms and common areas are beautiful down to the last detail. The owners are very welcoming and incredibly passionate about their work and the Hotel itself. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back.

The staff were so welcoming & helpful. My wife & myself arrived late on the day of our arrival. Starving we asked where could get something to eat. Brett offered us room service pizzas even though the kitchen was closed the pizza oven was still on for a function.They even did GF much to my wife's delight.

Love this place, so much fun for kids and adults as well as...

Love this place, so much fun for kids and adults as well as lots to learn and do. The old fashioned boiled lollies and cordial were very popular with our kids. Fun to be had bowling, dipping candles, panning for gold, patting horses, going to old time school and much more. The night light show was AMAZING! Such a great way to learn about history! Highly recommend!

An excellent depiction of the Gold Rush history.

An excellent depiction of the Gold Rush history. I highly recommend the AURA sound and light show at night. Dress warmly to really enjoy this 3 part show that entertains and educates in equal measure.

Spent the day here. Enjoyed the people in 1850's garb.

Spent the day here. Enjoyed the people in 1850's garb. Watched Blacksmith fashion articles, Enjoyed the schoolhouse where the children actually go to school in clothes from 1850's and are taught with period materials. Toured the Mine show and learned of the disaster where 27 miners died. Enjoyed the actual Bowling Alley from then with the balls that were used so much they aren't round anymore!!!

Sovereign Hill is a Great Place to explore the Australian...

Sovereign Hill is a Great Place to explore the Australian Gold exploration in the 1800s Go there early as you will need at least 4 hours. You can bring your own food if you prefer and lots of experiences including going underground.

Loved this trip.

Loved this trip. Only had limited time here and really needed more time. Make sure you have the whole day to explore, book ahead and plan out the activities to make the most. Great for kids to visit (and adults alike)

The room was very large with access to a private deck. The hotel also provided a well appointded childrens games room and self catering favcilities which would suit families. The dierct access to Sovereign Hill was a bonus and enabled you to come and go as you pleased.

We visited Ballarat to visit Sovereign Hill. It is a 500m walk from the apartments which meant no driving and parking at the site. We just walked. There are 2 hotels within walking distance for meals either turn left or right at the main road! The property had a relaxing space downstairs with a kitchen area. Upstairs were two bedrooms and the bathroom, convenient although small. The property was excellent value for a family of 4.

The pool was tepid and not too busy. I took my children for a swim and we were in there for 3 hours. You can get extra towels from reception. Very close to amenities and Sovereign Hill. Im a cleaner and usually have to clean before i stay i was however very impressed by the cleanliness of the room. The hotel staff were pleasant. 2 very nice restaurants at your doorstep.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. Was clean and well furnished. The gym was great and well equipped. Was enough room for family of 5. The staff were friendly & location was great with only a short drive sovereign hill, the wildlife park, CBD and Botanical gardens. Would definitely stay again.
