Location of Pullman is fabulous & the views even from the Garden View room is excellent. The whole world comes to see Opera House + Harbour Bridge & you can enjoy the view 24x7. Well connected with Train, Tramps, Ferry & Roads. Several options to eat & drink around including Indian food. Mr. Omi at concierge & everyone at reception make you feel very very comfortable. Breakfast is fabulous as well.

At first, we booked a room without a view by chance, but we were lucky and we upgraded the hotel and looked at the koala. The rooms are very neat, the territory is very beautiful. And the hotel also has amazingly delicious breakfasts with a gorgeous view of the city.

We stayed at the Sofitel Hotel in Circular Quay and had amazing views of the Quay. In the daytime we would have a very pleasant walk around the Quay and along the coastline which led us to Sydney harbour, where we could easily hop onto a boat to visit other places like Manly beach. During the evenings we would visit the many lovely restaurant and bars around the Quay and admire the boats. It’s well worth a visit.

A must is the view from Circular Quay Railway station, its th best free view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Harbour and Opera House. (Local secret if you want an even better view) head towards the Oprah house as you get to the lsat ferry wharf under the Cahill express way you'll see a lift that looks like it goes nowhere, but it takes you up to the Cahill Expressway. from there you'll have 360 degree views of Sydney city, bridge and harbour.

Ferries, trains, trams, buses to anywhere you like.

Ferries, trains, trams, buses to anywhere you like. Download the public transport app to plan your trip. Oh and the bridge the opera house and if you're lucky one of those massive cruise ships will be in. They are like floating cities, quite a sight. There's usually some street entertainment in the area too.

It’s a bit of walking.

It’s a bit of walking. Especially if you are going to the opera house as well. So travel light. If you have small kids (or a tired Grandma) take one of those fold up beach trolleys ($75 from Kmart) those things are priceless when lugging kids and stuff around! (And tired Grandmas)

Everything is a stone throw from the Quay view Opera House, walk over Sydney Harbour Bridge, The Botanical Gardens, Lady Macquarie's Chair visit the historical Rocks have a beer in the oldest pubs in Sydney a few claim to be. Macquarie Street is a walk up the road there is an amazing amount of history in this street, the first signs from penal colony to a colony, might be best during the week where you can access some of the buildings. If none of that suits just sit and enjoy the worldof circular key coffee and watching the world go by

WE didn't have breakfast there. Incredibly good views down Sydney Harbour and back to the Circular Quay area amongst many other sites. This Hotel has a huge window looking from the bathroom into the Hotel Room and out to the harbour Bridge. The Hotel location is magnificent with North Sydney station just up the street Ferries at the bottom of the Hill and the Expressways to all parts of Sydney. When your lying in the bed looking at the stars and the Harbour Bridge it couldn't be better. Great value for Money.

The whole experience from check in to departure was smooth and efficient. The room was lovely, and the comfort of the bed was exceptional. The bathroom was great with good products and even a bath. The buffet breakfast was superb and good value. The staff were attentive but unobtrusive. The location at Circular Quay was ideal. We would definitely stay there again.

Exceptional & friendly service by ALL staff members. Extremely clean rooms & facilities. Loved the decor and cool factor being above the hotel bar. The noise didn’t bother us as we simply wore ear plugs to sleep (which I always wear anyway). Great location the Rocks. Just a short walk to Circular Quay & to the Sydney Harbour Bridge. We loved the whole vibe around & in the hotel. We will 100% rebook for our next trip. Cheers

The Marriott is a 10 minute walk to the Opera House and 5 minute walk to Circular Quay. Lovely view of Sydney Harbour Bridge from rooms. The rooms were clean and beds clean and comfortable. The doorman welcomed us and took care of our car parking and baggage arrangements. The male receptionist was welcoming and kept us informed of our 3 rooms upcoming availability check-ins.

I saw more of the Rocks area than I ever did previously, mainly because of the Hostel site. It was easy to walk around the CBD, even to the Museum. It was also close to Sydney Recital Centre and pretty close to the Metro. It's location is such that you look out over Circular Quay, Opera House and the Bridge from the balcony (but spoilt when cruise ships are docked!!!). Rooms are spacious with good size lockers, comfortable beds and privacy "curtains".

Firstly, the location was excellent. The hotel is situated in the famous Rocks area of Sydney CBD, which reminded me of old London. It’s just a few minutes’ walk to Circular Quay, where you can catch a ferry to any wharf of Sydney. We also stayed on the 4th floor, and from our window we could see the Sydney Opera House — truly awesome!

Weekly train ticket is probably the cheaper option if you want to venture further afield than the CBD. However it is rather expensive and cost $84 for the weekly ticket, but this still was the cheaper option for us as we were visiting lots of places and we were only there for 4 days, so gave our ticket away to some others at the airport. The cost of staying in a hotel in the CBD was expensive as well. Wouldn't stay and dine in the CBD again because of the cost. We had dinner at one of the Circular Quay restaurants 'the Sydney Oyster Cove' and being a coeliac was excited to see gluten free on the menu, however my meal wasn't gluten free when it arrived just ruined the dining experience, especially considering the cost of the food and drinks.
