I stayed with my two boys for three nights at the Canal House in Edam as part of our cycling week in the Netherlands. We used Edam as a base to explore the beautiful local countryside and to visit the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam — a perfect location for both! The cottage was exactly as described: cozy, well-equipped, and set right by the canal — perfect for a refreshing dip if you’re brave enough! Everything we needed was there, and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. There are a few local restaurants, a bar, a shop, and a bakery within walking distance, though it’s worth checking opening times in advance. Thank you for having us — we really enjoyed our time in Edam and would happily come back again!

It was in the centre of Edam and very close to everything. We love the quietness of the area and the love little garden and the canal. The hosts were also super friendly and helpful!

The cottage is uniquely beautiful. Full of charm and character. Well equipped. Comfortable beds and lovely clean sheets and bedding. It's well placed for a short walk into town.

great location, in complete nature although very close to the city center. very warm welcome and possibility to use the bikes from the owner to go everywhere. lovely garden, well maintained and with many species of flowers and trees and with a trempolino for the kids. unbelievable vue from the cottage on the swamp.
