As a person who travels around the world much often, this hotel didn’t disappoint one bit. I pray I can come back again to experience this lovely hotel with my mother and family very soon. I loved my presidential suite. it was enough room for my belongings and space for everyone to move around independently. I want to book the penthouse next. so I’ll save up greatly to have that experience soon, I pray.

Located in Houghton, The Residence is a boutique hotel that offers spacious suites with a spa bath, and a balcony overlooking the garden, the fire pit or the outdoor pool. We loved the design of this hotel. It was like Ethan Allen had had a hand in decorating the public spaces - it was so perfectly boho British Colonial. We loved the cozy bar and the lush plantings on the grounds of the hotel. Also loved the breezeway with the coy pond on the way to the bar and restaurant. Our room was very comfortable. The staff was laid back while still being professional. We have stayed in many places in South Africa that were super-duper deluxe. We liked that The Residence felt more homey and comfortable without being over the top.

Luxurious and clean garden, private court and large pool was amazing ! Owner very nice and welcoming thanks again :) Plenty of space and very well maintained Jacuzzi, gym and fun area was a big plus ! Security top notch very secure street. Recommend at 200% !
