We hiked to Carlon falls which was fun. Nightly smores was a highlight

The hotel is very well located so we were able to walk around town. The hotel offers complimentary parking outside its premises. The staff recommended us a nice place to have breakfast and it was great (The Belgian Cafe).

We only stayed two nights as part of our 2 weeks California road trip. But could very well imagine for a family to stay there for more days doing sight-seeing and then relaxing at the pool and using all the additional entertainment such as open-air film screenings, guided walks etc. This hotel was definitely the highlight accommodation of our trip because of its unique 70s style and very friendly, laid-back atmosphere.
