The room was spacious, elegantly designed and had a wonderful view out to sea (we were in a Grand Deluxe close to reception, so the relative height at the top of a hill offered a great vantage point). Breakfast was outstanding with tonnes of vegetarian (and gluten-free) options, which was wonderful as so many Thai breakfasts tend to be so meat-heavy - this was a welcome break. The staff were courteous and friendly without exception, and the a/c in the room managed to keep the room cool despite the humidity outside. Visiting in low season was superb value, and honestly with just a few minutes of rain on one of our three day stay, a June visit is really a no-brainer, especially as nearby Khaolak is so quiet and crowd-free during this time. Walking around the resort is a pleasure - if you're lazy and don't consider walking in lush vegetation to be enjoyable, then go stay somewhere flat.

The whole experience at Khao Lak Marriott was wonderful from the moment of arrival, parking our car, assistance with our bags, and an easy check-in. An electric buggy whisked us to our room, which was delightful, immaculately clean, with comfortable beds and bedding. The sandy beach was clean, overlooking the quiet and inviting Andaman Sea, plus the choice of resort pools allowed for some serious or playful swimming. All resort staff were exceptional, helpful, knowledgeable, and always with a warm greeting and a smile. Good buffet breakfast included in the price and wide food choice otherwise available all day at the resort. Thank you, Marriott, for a lovely stay.

Situated in Ko Yao Yai, 4.5 km from Laem Had Beach, Better View Koh Yao Yai features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. The room was unbelievable so comfortable and spacious with a stunning view! The bathroom came with a hot tub which was very cool. The owner was super lovely and made us feel so welcome on arrival as well as the staff. if you are travelling to Koh Yao Yai this is the place to stay it was the best place we have ever stayed in.

Just wow! The JW Marriott Khao Lak is truly an exceptional hotel. Located an hour and a half from the airport, this hotel leaves a lasting impression from the moment you arrive. ### Arrival and First Impressions We were warmly welcomed with a delightful hibiscus drink and given a comprehensive tour of the hotel. They provided us with a schedule of activities, 90% of which were free for all guests. The hotel itself is stunningly beautiful, and I can't emphasize enough how amazing it was. ### Pools and Amenities The pools are enormous – there are around five or more, including the largest river pool in Asia that winds around the entire hotel. There are dedicated areas for kids, with two big pools featuring various games, while the rest are for adults. The amenities are top-notch, and the staff is exceptionally helpful, kind, and down to earth. ### Room Quality Our room was exceptional. We had two rooms with a living area and buggy service. The suite option is highly recommended over the smaller rooms, as it offers a significantly more pleasant experience. ### Dining The breakfast area is extensive, offering every option you could think of, including live cooking stations. We opted for the all-inclusive package, which included one lunch option per person and a three-course dinner per person. The portions were generous and perfect for our group of five. The hotel's restaurants are diverse and delicious, featuring Italian, Thai, Japanese, and international cuisine, as well as grills and pizza options near the pool. All the restaurants were top-notch, and we enjoyed every meal. ### Activities and Entertainment The hotel offers a vast array of activities from 8 am to 8 pm. The fire show on the beach at night was a highlight. We also participated in a bath bomb workshop at the spa, which was very enjoyable.

Beautiful and relaxing hotel. We loved everything about it! The staff was so kind, the location was on a quiet hill but very close to the beach, restaurants and bars. We rented a scooter at the hotel for ~$10 a day but there are also bikes to use at no cost. We are both vegan and the hotel accommodated to our diet and made sure we had a variety of food available to us. We were so sad to leave and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend the island hoping private tour! Thank you for everything!

Super peaceful hotel with amazing views, surrounded by nature. It's tucked away a bit from the main road, so we rented a motorbike because we wanted to have the total freedom to explore. However, the hotel offers a free shuttle to the town's market and can pick you up and even take you to the nearby waterfall, so a motorbike is not a must if staying here. There are a lot of small things that make this one of the best overall hotel experiences we've ever had. For example, the hotel has a very nice restaurant, with very reasonable prices, like usual restaurant prices you'll find in Thailand, and a wide menu. Even the minibar inside the room has minimart prices. Massage inside the hotel, by the pool, while listening to the sounds of nature, is the same price you'd pay at most massage places, 0% hotel markup. It is so refreshing to know that you're not being ripped off by overpaying 2-3x for everything you do or eat inside the hotel. Wifi is free, no password headaches, just connect and use it. The staff are very friendly and it feels like a family business, not a corporate hotel chain. To sum up, big 5-star hotel brands could learn a lot from this hotel on how to provide truly exceptional service.

I liked all of the selections for food and drinks on the all inclusive menus. We enjoyed the 3 pools and the pool bar. The staff were really nice and professional. The staff members that stood out were: The hostess Lelyla, Chef James, and the bartender Wann. They helped make my new fiancé and my trip the best most memorable. They played huge parts in helping me celebrating my fiancé’s birthday and with my proposal.
