The hotel is set back from the main road, which makes it quiet and tranquil. Walking distance to the beach and loads of shops and restaurants (though we rented motorbikes to explore the island). The pool is another huge plus: large and regularly cleaned/maintained. We used it almost every day!

Great restaurant down-stairs, the Stir-fried Soft-shell crab with thai spices is a must-try, it was so good I had it twice in a row. If you want a peaceful stay away from the crowds and noise of the villages further north, this is the perfect accommodation for a couple. A monk from a nearby monastery even came to hold a meditation session one morning.

I loved the staff, the breakfast, the space, the anonymity- resort is big but very well organized and guests are spread out in villas to guarantee privacy.

We spent 6 days at Nirvana and loved every minute. The room was great, clean and spacious with a lovely view. The pool area is simply stunning and right next to the beach which we loved. The view is amazing from both the pool and the breakfast area and we were lucky to enjoy a few drinks watching the sunset. It was easy to go between pool and beach and a big plus was the super friendly and personal staff. Mr Kong and his team made sure our whole family had a lovely stay and made us feel at home. He also arranged gluten free options at the breakfast buffet which was highly appreciated. Breakfast buffet has everything you could wish for and the view of the pool and beach from the restaurant is just magical. We also had lunch and dinner a few times at the restaurant and loved the food, the staff and the possibility to sit next to the beach. The location of the hotel is great and you could easily walk 10 min to other restaurants, bars and stores. We really hope to come back one day and would highly recommend staying at Nirvana.
