From the moment we arrived, the staff were both incredibly friendly and attentive. Our bags were taken to our room and we were given an overview of the facilities and food options. There is free tea, coffee, water and some snacks at the reception kitchen, which is a really nice touch. The room itself… wow. We stayed in one of the lake view cottages and it was an absolute slice of heaven. In the middle of a jam packed busy travel schedule, this was exactly what we needed. The pool area is small but clean and idyllic. We enjoyed catching some rays in the late afternoon and then in the morning before checking out. Only two sunbed, but most of the hotel rooms have private pools so we didn’t find this affected us. The location is prime for the White Temple in particular. They offer free bikes which we used to cycle over for the final hour of opening, which was the perfect time for a quiet visit. We were tempted by the morning but we were too relaxed to get up and leave in the end. I anticipate the morning is even more of a quiet time to visit the temple though. You MUST get the Pad Thai. It was exceptional and different from any others we’ve tried. Definitely had their own twist on the dish which we loved. If you’re looking for a completely unique stay, outside of the tourist areas for one or a few nights, I couldn’t recommend this place enough. A final shoutout to the staff who immediately did a ‘nervous’ of our room after checking out, and returned my partner’s shorts which he’d left. Those are the touches that make all the difference to a stay. Thank you Doowall Hall!

Guests can swim in the plunge pool, go cycling or relax in the garden. It really is a kids paradise. Pool is clean. Our girl loved feeding the rabbits. Lots of other kids for her to play with too, she didn't want to leave. Rooms are basic but clean. Breakfast is nice too. You can make you own waffles and lots of fresh fruit. We would definitely go back but would like a more modern room.

Very friendly and helpful hosts, delicious local food (they adjusted the meals for me to be vegetarian), amazing view, sitting in the bathtub while looking at the mountains and listening to the flowing water was absolutely fantastic! They were kind enough to show us around a coffee plantation, and organize a little tour for us to the local cafe while dropping us off at the airport. One thing to be mindful of is that the fastest road to the location is very steep and winding so be careful and use a vehicle that can climb big hills

We liked that you can make your own toast, tea and coffee.

At the farm stay, the units include bed linen and towels. This property is outstanding. The view is just sublime, we saw the best sunset. The room was well organised with a lovely and cosy atmosphere. Decorated with excellent taste ! It is romantic, secluded and family like. The owners are lovely, the food delicious, we recommend the experience!

The house itself was very well designed with high-end materials, everything was comfy. The Chinese food from the restaurant is one of a kind, it's hard to find that good Chinese food around that area. There were bugs, but you are in the middle of the mountain in May, it's bound to happen, not a big deal if you keep the door closed. Overall, it was class A!
