The host is warm and friendly, and asked us in advance what special requirements we have, trying to meet them as much as possible. The room layout is reasonable and well-equipped, suitable for us who love cooking. The scenery outside the house is beautiful, with mountains, the sea, and a farm. It was a very satisfying accommodation experience.

Also loved the farm tour given by Jodi while we there, which enabled us to learn more about regenerative practices. Auto Lodge New Plymouth offers a restaurant, bar, heated pool and hot tub, just 5 minutes’ walk from Fitzroy Beach. I was very surprised given the price. The room was very nice, the restaurant was great and so was the location. If I’m in the area again I’ll definitely be staying here.
