Cardrona Hotel features an iconic on-site restaurant and bar. You can enjoy the picturesque gardens while sipping a drink on the patio. This hotel features a hot tub, a ski drying room and shared lounge and laundry facilities. The food was lovely but quite expensive but then I never go out. Lovely old world charm comfy couches roaring fires lovely atmospheres. The shower was amazing and a huge luxury to have a bath.

Archway Motels & Chalets offers quiet and secluded accommodation, only 200 metres from Lake Wanaka. Set on 2 acres of gardens featuring native trees, tulips, roses and fruit trees, the spacious grounds include a covered BBQ area with picnic tables.

The children’s playground has a trampoline and swings. Guests can relax in the wooden hot tub, which features views of the gardens and mountains (charges apply). Wanaka is an amazing place to stay. I get the impression that most travellers use Wanaka as a stop off to the Glaciers like we did. If i was planning my trip again I would spend at least a few nights in Archway motel, Wanaka. The hosts Jacqui and Mark can not do enough for you, they really are the best hosts you could wish for. Mark went out of his way to help my wife and I reschedule our trip to the Glaciers following the road closure at Hass. I can not think him enough for his reassuring assistance. Add to the above, the chalets are extremely high-end, comfort, quality, home from home. My wife and I would stay here again and for longer if we get back to NZ. Commodore Airport Hotel Christchurch features spacious rooms, conference/meeting facilities and plenty of free car parking. The award-winning native gardens provide a peaceful atmosphere. Fantastic hotel . Superb comfortable room with 2 queen beds . I only wish we had been staying longer to use the facilities .

The apartment provides guests with a terrace, mountain views, a seating area, a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and an oven, and a private bathroom with hot tub and bathrobes. A microwave, a toaster and fridge are also available, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. At the apartment complex, every unit is equipped with bed linen and towels. We stayed in 2 apartments (ie 2x 2 bedrooms apartments - Suites 3&4). We arrive in the early evening hours but Check-in was totally smooth & apartments were ready (lighted), very cleaned, well furnished & kitchen fully equipped plus a delicious arrival welcome chocolate treat. These made our 2x5 nites stay exceedingly comfortable. Location was close.enough to Queenstown & Arrowtown with vehicle. Good dining options within 2mins drive from the apartments. Mountain view was fantastic especially with autumn coming. Hosts provided a very helpful comprehensive file on introduction & information of the property, things to do/visit, dining options, host's favourite activities around Queenstown region etc etc. Excellent place to stay in lieu of the Queenstown area. Extremely high chance of our return to the property.

Located in Twizel, Ben Ohau Villa provides accommodation with private pool, free WiFi and free private parking for guests who drive. With garden views, this accommodation offers a patio. The villa has a picnic area and a hot tub. This property was stunning. We used it as a base for snowboarding Ohau and treble cone. The fireplace & hot tub were a massive hit for us after the hill. Star gazing was also impeccable from the back yard! We also checked out the lake nearby (recommended from the host in their welcome book) and had a quick cold water plunge. Whole experience was excellent. Comfy beds. We will be back.

Featuring a restaurant, the 4-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom. Guests can use the hot tub, or enjoy mountain views. The view was so beautiful and was just a peaceful, relaxing stay cation away from home for my partner and I :) and getting the breakfast delivered to the room was just another level of service I’ve never experienced at other places!

Guests can take in the views of the sea from the balcony, which also has outdoor furniture. For added privacy, the accommodation has a private entrance and soundproofing. The property has an outdoor dining area. This is a dream property with amazing hosts. You feel welcomed the moment you enter the gate. They have created such cozy spaces for guests and the provide great amenities like coffee and tea, toast and other small breakfast items. I appreciated the small fridge in the room, pressure in the shower and how quiet it was at night. I also walked to town and it was easy and fun. There’s a lot to do in this part of the world! At the bed and breakfast, all units come with a outdoor furniture. A microwave, a toaster and fridge are also provided, as well as a kettle. The units include a private bathroom, a hair dryer and bed linen. We absolutely loved everything about our stay at this unique cabin. Such a brilliant location with the most special view (even when we had a bit of rain on our final morning) and incredible surroundings. Photos really cannot do this place justice - it’s just beautiful and the little patio area is perfect for enjoying some outside time in this part of the world. This cabin offers a really unique and cosy stay, and we would definitely recommend. Having spent five weeks travelling around NZ and staying in many different types of accommodation, this was the standout! We could not have asked for better or more friendly hosts either - thank you so much David and Sandy, especially for all your tips while in the area!
