The location and vibe was perfect!

Beautiful place to stay, you have everything you need, including a full kitchen, smart tv, comfortable bed. You can park in front of the door and it is walking distance from all the restaurants. We had a lot of rain while we were here and we were so happy we were staying in such a comfortable place.

We liked Bellrock Lodge and this little village so much, we even extended our stay! :) It is worth staying longer in Kororareka Russell and especially at Bellrock Lodge, so let us tell you why: Bellrock Lodge is situated on a little hill (if you walk, there are a few steep meters) and because of that, you will have the most amazing views from your terrace over the coast. On clear days you will even see as far as Waitangi. The apartment and the terrace are quite spacious, even the bathroom offers more than usual space in rental properties. It is very nice equipped. The garden is beautiful so you also see beautiful garden greenery from the terrace. The hosts Catherine and Stuart are very kind and responded fast via WhatsApp. Their sweet dog Piper was also a great host and excited to offer play time with her favorite football and such :D Catherine and Stuart were always very hospitable, so for instance, if you get in a morning rain like us, getting new towels is easy peasy, just a message/call away ;-) The Lodge offers great amendities: laundry, dryer, DVD Library (great selection, we loved it), CD and Book Library aswell... To top it off, the Whirlpool and BBQ area are great, with superb views also. We loved to enjoy the Spa, especially on rainy days. In addition to that, we highly appreciated how thoughtful everything is equipped, there are umbrellas in the driveway, wineglasses from plastic for the Spa, different chairs (even comfy reading/TV chairs), more than 2 different towel sizes and many more things like that.. We have travelled a lot and Bellrock Lodge is one of our favorites. You nearly forget, that you are at a self-service accomendation because everything is so thoughtfully done. It is worth staying longer, you can experience a lot in the area, walk to the beaches from Bellrock if you want to, get groceries and have great restaurants/cafés in town.

Large area with a great outdoors space. Definitely a great place to stay if you are visiting the bay of islands, which was one of my favorite places in New Zealand. We had one room with a lot of area, and another with very little area, so that was interesting.

Wonderful hosts welcomed us to our own private oasis, overlooking the water and with a beautifully serene spa to use. Comfortable bed and furnishings and thoughtful touches like refrigerated water and cookies made our stay extra special.

Superb location, right at the start of Paihia. Staff are warm and welcoming, and the apartment is spacious and a very well-equipped kitchen, there is a great cafe, bar and restaurant meters away and of course the beach right across road. This place was great stay and value for Money!

Great food, fabulous view, easy to fo get around

Spa pool was perfect temperature and clean. Bed was super comfortable

Everything was excellent,we couldn't fault it ,the owner and staff were extremely helpful and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble,very clean and comfy rooms, everything you needed was there, would certainly stay here on our next visit.
