The staff made our stay out of this world especially Oscar and Pansa. From the moment we made our booking they bent over backwards to ensure our every need was met. As they all waved us off when we left we had tears in our eyes. The location was great. Although 7 minutes out of town the hotel provides free shuttle runs 3 times a day. It is on the way to the Si Kuang falls and other tourist spots so very convenient for sightseeing. And of course being out of town it is oh so tranquil. The pool is large if a little cool so a great place to relax. Although it does not have the facilities of other 5 star hotels the price is considerably lower so it is great value for money.

From the moment we arrived at the pier the staff was fantastic, especially to our young daughter. We just came from staying at a Four Seasons and the staff at La Residence far exceeded what we experienced there. The rooms, restaurant and ground are also perfect - the location is ideal for exploring Luang Prabang but retreating after dark to relax and debrief over cocktails. We are already discussing a return for next winter.

The apartment features family rooms. Sokview Residence is a brand new apartment building sitting right on the Mekong bank a short walk or ride out of the city center. We have been to Luang Prabang several times and as far as we can see this place is the only one around that features contemporary design and amenities. We stayed here for almost three weeks and to be clear: It was GREAT! Our apartment was very nice! Practical, clean, full kitchen, washing machine etc etc. Add to that a full 180 view of the Mekong river from your balcony. The staff was polite and helpfull and the owner (that can be reached by QR codes to SoMe posted on the wall) was friendly and accommodating. The Sokview rates are cheaper than most hotels in LP, so this is really a no-brainer. This is the place to stay in wonderful Luang Prabang. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

They also can pick you up from the train station. Amazing service! Staff was very nice, specially Aja the driver that we had those days (not sure how to write his name). The room was clean, mattress and bedsheets very comfortable, the bathroom was very big with a nice bath.
