We made just a small stop there after monkey snow park and before Fuji, and this villa gave us a good rest.

Travelling with a picky husband and he was blown away by place. The old farm house has been lovingly restored, with lots of attention to detail. Serene, warm, welcoming. Highly recommend. We re-arranged our travel plans to stay here as it was fitting to stay in an old farmhouse after a day's walk Magome to Tsumago on the Nakesendo Way. The curry dinner was superb - we did the extra portion as 6 ft + sons with us - and it was very hearty. Free barley tea was delicious. We stayed in the family room - sleeps 5 comfortably - Japanese style and very comfy. Hosts were great as were the staff. The whole place was decorated with attention to smallest detail, down to the wood and stone decorations of the bathrooms. Fans of Manga will love the selection around the place and there were a few English books to pick up and read too. We were caught short on a rainy onwards trip and the hosts were able to supply us with plastic bags so we would arrive at destination nice and dry :) Would highly recommend.

This ryokan provides free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. Guests also enjoy access to the hot spring bath and hot tub, as well as the public bath and open-air bath. It was very unique experience. This very charming traditional Japanese ryokan is within short distance from the train (or bus) station. Everything was clean and well organised there. We spent really very relaxing enjoyable moments there. It feels all very authentic (including delicious Japanese dining) and the stuff is also very friendly and welcoming. 100% worth it!
