Peacefully situated on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi in the scenic Mount Fuji area, Japanese-style hot spring hotel Kasuitei Ooya features rooms with stunning lake views, some boasting a private open-air bath. The hotel features a hot tub, massage treatments and karaoke rooms. The stay was well worth the price. We were able to drop our bags off before checking in, and also had them hold them after checkout. Staff were courteous and always available to help us out. The meals were delicious, almost too much food (but I feel like that's a common theme with ryokans, they keep bringing more food!). The onsen was also very refreshing and it was so nice to have our own private open air bath in our room. Definitely recommend

Guests can relax in the sauna or in the private open-air bath. The hotel has English-speaking staff. I did not have breakfast but everything else was perfect. Location is great compared to the price. Staffs are warm and helpful.

The area is popular for hiking and cycling, and bike hire is available at the accommodation. LOCATION WAS OUTSTANDING,,, DIDNT EXPECT THE FUJI VIEW TO BE SO CLEAR.. FOOD WAS EXCELLENT..

It has everything you'd need to cook a nice meal

There is a private bathroom with bath in all units, along with a hair dryer and free toiletries. The units have a dressing room. Amazing value and had everything we needed. The access to the BBQs was the best part - we bought some Hida beef from the local butcher to cook on the outdoor BBQ and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. Would book this place again over a hotel any day

Amazing view of Mt. Fuji from all the rooms. Just a short walk away from Kawaguchiko station, through a nice neighbourhood. One of the best accommodation choice I made during my trip.
