Lovely greeting, room was spacious with beautiful Tatami mats. Comfy futon, quiet location, bath was fantastic, easy walk to all the attractions of Matsushima.
We were taken to the station as it was raining by owner..amazingly friendly. Great stay in a traditional Japanese Guest House.

This is the perfect onsen town to be in if you are near Sendai. We had a great stay in the Japanese western room with a private bath. It was amazing! We had a great view of the river and the bath was so relaxing. I love that we had the choice of sleeping on a western bed or laying out the Japanese mattress. We had the full board option which inlcudes dinner and breakfast. Both meals were scrumptious. They had a set menu and explained each course (they even tried to explain it in their best English). We so highly appreciated their efforts. There is a bar with a free welcome drink, and some very unique drinks to try. Highly recommend this place if you want to experience the traditional onsen with more privacy. Also this little onsen town is the cutest! They have a short trail along the streams which is very accessible and more of a leisurely walk. There are some cute cafes in the neighborhood. Definitely recommend checking this area out. If you are here in Spring there are some beautiful cherry blossom spots.
Another pro is that there is an express bus near Sendai station to this area. It's about a 40 minute ride.

They were the nicest people. I had such a good time. My room was amazing, and I had a lot of space. You are close to all the temples and restaurants. I highly recommend this place!

Very affordable price for one night which included breakfest. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was pleasant and clean. Very spacious for a "Standard Double Room". I also liked that the bathroom had space to move around. The breakfest was buffet which didn't have a large variety but was good for the added price. There was also a drinks vending machine on one of the floors which was handy. Will stay here again!

Short walk from the station and close to the shopping street and restaurant ares. The room was more spacious than expected with some floor space. Nice and seemed quite new. The window was isolating the sound well so it was quiet although by a main road.
Nice to have a sent (public bath), a bit small shower area and bath, easily gets crowded, but still very nice.
Buffet breakfast was very good. A small area but with lots of selections incl regional specialities.
