Everything. From the moment we arrived in front of hotel, until the moment we left the hotel back to airport. Sublime service. The very polite lady from the bell desk even continue waived us good byes accros the street! That was really touched our hearts. We have been around the world staying in top luxury resorts and hotels, but we never encountered such personal attention and care to their guests! Simply amazing service culture! This is a beautiful traditional (restored) Japanese house. Exceptionally spacious and comfortable for two people. The balcony at first floor and patio area with sun loungers to the rear were nice for relaxing at breakfast time and in the afternoon sun after a day out to Mount Aso. The highlight however was the optional barbecue evening meal in the impressive annexe. The host couple were incredibly kind and helpful and the meal was out of this world. The annexe building also has some impressive TV/audio facilities. It was a very memorable stay and we would thoroughly recommend staying here.

The room was so neat and nice. It was more than I expected. I could enjoy the hot spring up close when I wanted it, and the dinner and breakfast were excellent. I felt good throughout the trip because the staff were very kind.
