Units are complete with a private bathroom, while certain units at the ryokan also provide guests with a seating area. The hotel is so beautiful and peaceful you almost don't want to leave. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel at home. We had the shabu shabu dinner and 2 Japanese style breakfasts which were cooked right in front of us by the lovely staff who we really enjoyed talking to. The location was only a 10 minute walk from Kyoto station but in a relatively quiet location, which was very much appreciated after the busy tourist spots of Kyoto. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough and we will definitely be returning if we are ever in Kyoto again.

At the guest house, the units are fitted with a desk. Featuring a private bathroom with a bidet and slippers, units at the guest house also offer free WiFi, while selected rooms come with a terrace. At the guest house, every unit includes bed linen and towels. Everything is perfect! The room, the staff, the location, the cleanliness everything is excellent! The staff even help with our luggage climbing the stairs to our room. Coin operated Laundry was just next to our room the location was so beautiful and walkable to tourist spot. Would definitely be back if we visit again!

It is located in a very convenient location, close to transit, landmarks and stores.

Guests can relax in the garden at the property. This is a traditional Japanese accommodation, part of a Buddhist temple. The room was impeccably clean, neat, and the host was so sweet to prepare the beds and heat the room for us! He even laid an electric sheet under the table so we would have a space to warm up upon coming! We had Japanese sweets and tea waiting for us, which was perfect for the rainy weather. The host is just a super warm and nice person, although he doesn’t speak English we were able to fully communicate with Google Translate and we didn’t miss anything! Location was amazing! Just at the center of the town, right above the wonderful restaurant - Funaya Kajiya (I highly recommend to book a table in advance) and a walking distance from a really cool cafe in which you can sit and drink it in one of the Funayas. We loved everything about this place and wished we could’ve stayed there at least one more night.
