This is our second stay at Emion Kyoto, and like the last time it was perfect. - Location: located only 1 station from the central Kyoto Station, which made our travel very convenient. Walkway with roof directly connects to the train station. Quiet neighborhood. - There are several restaurants in the building. We tried 3 of them and all are very good. - 7Eleven next to building. - Neighborhood coin laundry 7 minute walk away. - Decent sized room, very clean. Comfy beds. Clean bathroom with bathtub. - Breakfast is really good. There were a lot of choices and great quality. We enjoyed the breakfast very much! - The staffs were very friendly and helpful, always with smiles.

Bathroom facilities are shared, and the public baths are open 16:00-22:00 and 06:00-09:00 daily. Just beautiful. The temple is gorgeous and serene. We had the family room with a private bathroom which was clean and a good size for our family. The dinner was perfection and one of the best meals we had in Japan. We wish we had booked for longer.

Situated conveniently in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, 祇園四条ホテル is set 100 metres from Gion Shijo Station, 800 metres from Samurai Kembu Kyoto and 1.7 km from Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall. The property is situated 1.3 km from Shoren-in Temple, 2 km from Kiyomizu-dera Temple and 2 km from Kyoto International Manga Museum. The hotel features a hot tub, room service and free WiFi throughout the property. We stayed there for only one night and wished if it could have been more. Totally loved the place. Centrally located in Kyoto. Minutes walking to the best spots in town. Just cross the street for a metro station and a bus stop. Overlooking the river. Regarding our room it was huge compared to hotels in Japan, our bathroom had a hot tub, pyjamas (kimono style), definitely a Japanese styled bidet and a very large TV screen. They allow luggage storage before check in and after check out. Decent staff. Totally recommended

Some units in the ryokan have private entrance and are equipped with wardrobe and tatami. Units are complete with a private bathroom, while certain units at the ryokan also provide guests with a seating area. The hotel is so beautiful and peaceful you almost don't want to leave. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel at home. We had the shabu shabu dinner and 2 Japanese style breakfasts which were cooked right in front of us by the lovely staff who we really enjoyed talking to. The location was only a 10 minute walk from Kyoto station but in a relatively quiet location, which was very much appreciated after the busy tourist spots of Kyoto. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough and we will definitely be returning if we are ever in Kyoto again.
