From the second we arrived till we left the parking lot we felt nothing but overly welcome. The place is absolutely amazing. The staff even more so. We chose the accommodation for the clamping, we knew nothing about the town or area. Also this was a very pleasant surprise. It felt like we were the only tourists in the city and everyone, without exception, made us feel welcome. Dot Glamping in Ako might be the best surprise on our fantastic trip to Japan. The tent is huge, and although there is so much to see outside of the premises, it is well worth it not leaving, just enjoying the place. The private area is great too. We stayed two nights, and as we didn't have a car, we chose to include dinner in our order - do that, it is well worth it. The first night we got yakiniku which we grilled in the main building, the second night we got seafood which we grilled in our private area next to the tent, overlooking the ocean and sunsent. It is difficult to describe the welcome and feeling of staying at Dot Glamping in Ako, maybe the amazing staff just made it so much more, but I would travel to this place again. I can only recommend it. Nature is so close and is so beautiful in Ako!

The semi-outdoor hotspring bath inside the hotel room was superb. The room was very comfortable, spacious, clean, and quiet, with nice decor. The room overlooked a beautiful garden. The Kaiseki dinner and breakfast were served in the room and were very delicious. The hotel staff provided excellent, warm and personalised service. The hotel was located a distance away from downtown Himeji, near a forested area with beautiful scenery. Free shuttle bus service was available. This hotel was a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate the body, mind and soul. Our experience was wonderful.

Great room with a nice view. Private open-air onsen was really enjoyable. Staff was very attentive and their hospitality was really on a high level. My wife had a birthday so the hotel managed to prepare a nice gift for her - amazing! The food... oh the food... Chef Ota-san and his crew have managed to prepare one of the most enjoyable feasts I've ever had. Big thanks to everybody involved in preparation of such culinary joy! My next visit in Arima will surely be here again!

The property itself is well equipped and you just bring in your stuff and can stay there for a short break like your home. The property itself is a detached single story traditional house, and is a live show case about local Japanese culture. The owner also displays promotion materials about the local environs which suitable for new comer like us in the local community. The property is a quiet place. Having said that, depends on your requirement of "quiet", the property is adjoining to a main county road which means cars are passing through day and night, though not frequent. The owner is a nice gentleman and willing at all time to give you a helping hand in providing advices in the local community such as traveling, dining and sight seeing. To a traveler, a clean, comfort and safe place to stay is essential to release of uncertainty. The property and the owner do this well.
