Lovely San Quiricio d’ Orcia is a 20 minute drive (white gravel road, but doable), with a good Coop supermarket, excellent gelateria and one of the best butchers in the region. Nearby Bagno Vignoni (visit free thermal bath Antiche Terme Romana Libere, parking down dirt road) and Pienza a must. Also highly recommended: Bagni San Filippo, magical hot spring baths hidden in the woods. Ask Kelly about sights and restaurants. And please take the opportunity to dine at Fabio’s and Kelly’s agriturismo down the road (La Moiana 1756): great food, good value for money and beautiful sunsets.
