Our apartment was huge, with two bedrooms and a spatious terrace overlooking the sea and the marina. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of choises. The staff is incredibly accomodating and helpful, they really made our stay a special experience.

Rooms have original features such as wood-beamed ceilings and modern amenities including air conditioning and satellite TV. WiFi access is available in the lobby and rooms. There is also an internet point. The hotel is so central and even though it is in the thick of all the action it is so quiet and peaceful. We had a quadruple room with a double bed and two single beds which worked perfectly for our teenagers. The breakfast was brilliant and even nicer that it could be eaten on the terrace. It’s in the centre of the ZTL so you can’t drive there but we parked in car park P2 and walked through (a bit embarrassing for the kids dragging their cases through the tourists!)

Renovated from Villa Buonvisi’s historic stables and a 14th-century church, Hotel Ilaria provides a tranquil atmosphere. Here you can find quiet, spacious and elegantly furnished rooms equipped with modern comforts. The location was perfect, quiet, and close to the city walls, restaurants, and sights. Breakfast was very good, and we had a wide variety of sweet and savory food. The hotel offers a complimentary aperitivo, which was terrific after a long day's travel. We arrived by train, but the hotel has a parking lot and electric vehicle charging stations. We would love to stay there again on our next visit to Lucca.
