The receptionist who was there upon our arrival, shows us on the map what we can do because the weather conditions wasn’t good for the things that we have planed to do. The food in the restaurant was good and also the breakfast has many options to choose. The bed was comfortable and we have a huge window right across in order to see the sky. Till now it was the best hotel in Iceland!

Providing a restaurant, the property also has a garden, as well as a sauna and a hot tub. The accommodation features evening entertainment and a tour desk. We stopped at Midgard Base Camp for one night only and will remember this place, mostly because of an amazing staff that helped us plan out the day and see our first northern lights! If we can come back to Iceland, we will definitely stay here again! Perfect place to wash clothes and dry hiking shoes as well.

At the apartment complex, some units are soundproof. Very homey and cozy (our room even had a small box with plush mice "sleeping" in it - an adorable addition to the room!). The room was spacious and had a nice kitchenette. The lobby was very welcoming, and there were always fresh home-baked goods and some home-grown veggies. Outside there were horses and 2 very cute dogs, and the whole atmosphere is of a family farm - in the best way possible! We had to check-in late and the instructions the owners left us on how to enter the room were very detailed (and quite hilarious).

Executive suites feature a balcony with a private hot tub and a king size bed. The rooms are very clean. The food and service in the restaurant outstanding. The location of the hotel alone is worth 10 points.

Árbakki Farmhouse Lodge offers a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 18 km of Geysir and 28 km of Gullfoss Waterfall. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Guests can make use of the sun terrace or the children's playground, or enjoy views of the mountain and river. We loved everything. The place is beautiful, very cozy, with a lot of charm & beautiful views in the room as well as the whole house. The common kitchen is super nice, well equipped, and a good place to talk with Anna. Breakfast was wonderful. And, there is a hot tub for guests.
