My Mam and I came for a night for my Birthday and we had a wonderful time. The outdoor pool and hot tub was amazing. Dinner was exceptional. We spent a cosy night int he bar with an open fire and slept so very well. Then started our next day with a delicious breakfast. I could not fault the place in the slightest.

Ballyloughane Beach is 2 km away and Galway Greyhound Stadium is 2.5 km from the homestay. The owner was absolutely lovely and very helpful, was very polite and helpful with things to do/ see in galway, the beds were very comfortable and the place was very clean everything is just like the pictures and the area was very good most things were walking distance

Featuring mountain views, Luxury 6 Bedroom Spiddal Villa, Jacuzzi, Balcony features accommodation with a garden and a terrace, around 21 km from St. Nicholas Collegiate Church. With lake views, this accommodation offers a balcony. The villa also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. The house is even bigger then we anticipated, all the rooms were lovely and came stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen, living room and everything was basically perfect and Deirdre was a lovely host who was a great help and very accomodating. I would highly recommend staying here, full 10/10 rating from our group.

Claregalway Hotel is situated just outside of Galway in Claregalway village. It has a restaurant, a leisure centre with a gym and pool, and spacious air-conditioned rooms.

The cosy rooms at Claregalway Hotel all feature a plasma-screen TV and en suite bathrooms with power showers. Free WiFi is available in the hotel. Air Conditioning is available in 48 out of 51 rooms. It was central to everywhere I needed to be.

The health club features a 17-metre pool. There is also a sauna, a hot tub, a steam room, a gym and a beauty therapy suite available for all guests. Comfiest bed we've stayed in the whole trip. We wish we could've stayed longer and can't wait to come back. The breakfast was fantastic and we felt like we were staying in a castle.

The Connacht Hotel is located close to Lough Atalia, 1.5 miles from the city centre. It boasts a leisure centre with a 20-metre pool, spacious rooms, free Wi-Fi, and free parking.

Active Leisure & Fitness offers a sauna, steam room, hot tub and a gym. Big room, 5 beds, for a family of 4. Good shower.

The Lady Gregory Hotel is close to Coole Park Gardens and offers full Irish breakfasts, a restaurant, and a bar. Guests can enjoy complimentary access to the Swan Leisure Club which includes an 18-metre swimming pool. Location, staff, food and nice room

In Athenry, east of Galway, the friendly Raheen Woods Hotel serves good food and has leisure facilities for kids and adults, including a swimming pool, gym and hot tub.

Other leisure facilities include treatment rooms, a sauna and a hydro bath. Kardio Kidz has climbing frames, kids' cardio, climbing walls and more. Dinner options were excellent. The room, comfortable and quiet. Facilities very good.

Free access is provided to The Ocean Fitness Centre, which provides a 25-metre indoor Swimming pool, an 18-metre hydro pool, whirlpool, sauna and steam room. There is also a fully equipped, spacious gym. Location…. Superb. We got the room with the view of the ocean, the Salthill promenade. Though we had a car for ourselves, we preferred to go to the town centre by bus which was amazingly easy.

Some units have a seating area for guests to unwind while enjoying views of the bay or garden. Certain units include views of the mountain or pool. Every room has a private bathroom. For your comfort, you will find bathrobes and slippers. We particularly liked the dining room and the view. We own the Fastnet Hotel in Schull in West Cork (Instagram thefastnet1) and we are very honoured to having been ranked number one in Ireland by the Irish Examiners Travel editor’s choice: Tom Breathnach's top 10 stays of 2023. We have sent several of our guests to Screebe House and they have not been disappointed.
