The restaurant food was delicious. It’s not clear on here but they also have access by boat to a really remote beach where they have a bar and you can order food from the restaurant for lunch. Will be coming back!

After a tiring day, I didn't think we would come home to somewhere comforting in the middle of nowhere. The shower had some lovely local shampoo and soap. The bed was super cosy, the fan worked fine and it was really clean. The restaurant was the highlight (apart from the view), the chef working was a wizard with her passion fruit cheesecake and lemon cheesecake. I hope she knows how good it is, no cheesecake will ever top it. My partner and I fell in love with it. Her bolognaise was super too, I recommend! The jacuzzi is warm and there is even an outdoor net we could walk on suspended over the flowers. It is beautiful at night time and you can hear all the animals. We saw lizards, birds, butterflies etc. Their flowers are gorgeous and there's lots of little paths to walk around. The window in the room even had a netting on the outside to prevent mosquitos getting in, and we didn't see and insects in the room. Honestly, we wish we had booked an extra few nights :(

Especially Mateo!:: ... They have the best customer service, handling all your needs, and they speak English and Spanish which can be a big plus for travelers! They sent their dogs with me for the back roads hike to beautiful waterfalls! The dogs led the way (pic attached!). Then when I came back, I tracked mud all over my floor. Carmen instantly arrived with a mop and cleaned my floor! Then I had a perfectly clean room again! 👍 .... I fell in love with Trompito, and the staff here mentioned a nice apartment down the road, which ended up being perfect for me, and now I will be neighbors to this lovely accommodations that offers you a unique and complete experience of a lifetime!

The location is beautiful, breakfast was excellent, the beds and rooms lovely and comfortable and Thomas and the staff could not have been nicer and more helpful. You have to shop for what you might want to eat and snack on as there are not a lot of stores etc close by, though there are restaurants and supplies near the park entrances so only a few kms away.

A beautiful swimming pool with a big shallow space for kids. Beautiful surroundings. Sounds of birds and frogs and water. Great food. We spent an amazing week here. Including the guided hike up to the Terrazas Bunkuany (Carlos was a fabulous guide, and his cousin served us a big yummy lunch at her restaurant in the mountains).

At the country house, units are equipped with bed linen and towels. Nice clean Hotel. The AC was ice cold. TV was good. Bed was comfy. Reception staff is great. Just across the main road in Buritaca where all the buses from Santa Marta stop. Close to the party hostel Rio. Better accommodation than a hostel. About 25 minutes pleasant walk to the Buritaca river/ beach. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
