The view was perfect, the hosts very friendly and hospitable, they prepared breakfast for us, even though it was not included. The room itself was cozy and everything we could need was supplied. Absolutely exceptional stay, truly the best apartment we’ve had in Albania (and we’ve stayed in many)! Located just a little outside the historic centre of Gjirokastër, this place offered the perfect mix of peace, stunning views of the mountains and the city, while still being close to everything (especially ideal if you have a car). The apartment is on the ground floor, and on the first floor lives the owner who was simply an incredible host from beginning to end. He gave us tips on the best places to eat and visit, was always available to help with anything we needed, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome (at one point even bringing us food made by his aunt!). We genuinely felt safe, supported and cared for during our entire stay. The property itself had everything: a large living room, lovely bedroom, spotless bathroom, AC, hairdryer, fully-equipped kitchen area, secure parking, a jacuzzi (which we didn’t have time to use but looked amazing), and even fresh fruit and bottles of water waiting for us on arrival! The surroundings were magical and peaceful, with cute cats wandering around the property, and unbeatable views. If you want to stay somewhere beautiful, quiet, authentic and still be minutes away from Gjirokastër’s centre, this is the perfect choice. 5 stars without a doubt, we will absolutely recommend it to everyone!
