Really lovely place in a beautiful, quiet location – perfect if you're looking to relax away from the crowds. The pool was a real highlight, and since there weren’t many guests around, even our little one could enjoy it fully – including the occasional jump in (which is probably not officially allowed 😅). Very charming, family-run hotel in the hills of the Douro Valley with not only an extraordinary view on the bending river. But most strikingly - the house has personality which obviously reflects the owner’s passion for place, history and intimacy. Vintage items, personal photos here and there makes you feel like staying at a friends’ place who also has lovely recommendations at hand when you look for places to explore. And if you want to just relax and enjoy the view - the hotel’s pool and the surrounding terraces are just perfect to calm down. Moreover: one of us was sick during our stay - and the hosts were super helpful, understanding and supporting, this was extraordinary. Thank you so much!

The room was well appointed and the view over the pool, garden and town was pleasant. Being able to walk to the town from the property was beneficial. The garden was beautiful.

The owners were wonderful and very helpful with all their recommendations and advice. The views are stunning and the rooms were beautifully presented. Breakfast for very extensive for a B&B with just 4 rooms. Everything was very tasty and freshly prepared.
