Beautiful place, large and comfortable rooms and beds. Sandra was wonderful. Breakfast very good. The place is a small heaven in a very good location. Very quiet.

The rooms were good size, modern and well equipped. The swimming pool and surrounding was great, bit too warm perhaps only as it's an indoor one. Staff was super helpful and got us a kettle so we could get some boiled water for the baby bottle. Breakfast was also one of the best we had in hotel accommodation.

Ambience, thoughtfulness, environment. Staff goes extra mile to ensure they do what we needed / want, including restaurant staff.

Good room, very comfy with a beautiful view!! Quiet place. Spa was amazing!! Breakfast was very good!! We had dinner at the restaurant and at the Bar, good food and service! Overall staff was very friendly!!

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at TheVagar Countryhouse in Portugal, and I must say it was an absolutely enchanting experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms and genuine smiles, setting the tone for a truly memorable stay. 
The location was straight out of a fairytale. Surrounded by lush greenery and picturesque countryside views, we felt like we had stepped into a tranquil oasis. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Our room was like a cozy haven, blending traditional Portuguese charm with all the modern comforts we needed. The bed was super comfy, and we slept like babies every night. The attention to detail was evident, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches that made us feel so pampered. The breakfast, oh my goodness, the breakfast! Each morning was a delightful culinary adventure, and we couldn't get enough of the flavors and freshness. It was a real treat for our taste buds! The best part, though, was the people. The staff at TheVagar Countryhouse were simply amazing. They were friendly, helpful, and genuinely passionate about their beautiful region. They had fantastic recommendations for onsite activities (don’t miss out the jeep tour & picnic !) & interesting sites nearby (visit of Sortelha was our highlight !). We took full advantage of the lovely facilities at the country house. Whether we were lazing by the gorgeous infinity pool, having relaxing massage outdoor, strolling through the charming surrounding of the property, or just lounging in the sun with a good book, we felt totally at peace. Leaving TheVagar Countryhouse was bittersweet; we didn't want to say goodbye to this little piece of paradise. We left feeling refreshed and relaxed. In short, if you're looking for a slice of heaven in Portugal, TheVagar Countryhouse is the place to be. It's a hidden gem that stole our hearts, and we can't wait to go back.

This property is new and comfortable. Great design; private bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Shared living and kitchen. We had the property to ourselves however it was large enough to share. Great wifi, comfortable beds and very new modern decor as per the photos. The breakfast next morning was downstairs at the restaurant next door, you could choose what you wanted and we appreciated the cooked eggs and bacon. Would highly recommend.

We were the only guests. The host and hostess were very attentive, but not intrusive. Bed was very comfortable. Room good size, excellent temperature control, wardrobe, fridge. Shower was amazing - large, hot and good temperature. Breakfast was exceptional....yoghurt, museli, fruit, cheese, meats, eggs, bacon, cake, coffee, juice... couldn't ask for more.

Overall this is a fabulous resort in the heartland of Portugal. Staff are exceptional and the hotel facilities to food are top notch.
