Dave was a very caring host and we were sorry we couldn't stay longer. For us the price per night was higher, but we don't regret it because we had a pleasant stay in the lap of nature and solitude. The accommodation provides generous space and a sauna, which we didn't use due to fatigue. I highly recommend it, especially for a longer stay to enjoy this stay.

Hands down the best place we've stayed in during our year in Aotearoa. Amy and Jason are the most thoughtful, generous hosts and consider every detail to make the experience special for their guests - arriving home to incredible views, a freshly stoked hot tub and fire, thoughtfully curated playlists, and a very comfortable night sleep was above and beyond what we could have asked for. The location is perfect - with nearby Twizel and an easy, beautiful drive up to Aoraki (Mount Cook) - but we mostly wanted to stay in the cottage and chill for a while! Don't hesitate to book this place - our dream is to go back and see it in every season...

My wife and I had an amazing time at Skyscape in Twizel. It is by far the best private accommodation we have ever stayed in. The concept is truly unique and unlike anything else — it allows you to connect with nature while enjoying luxury, comfort, and total privacy. We loved waking up to the stunning blue and red skies in the morning and spending the night under a dark sky filled with countless stars. The experience is perfectly designed to combine nature with a very high level of comfort and convenience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Skyscape to anyone visiting Twizel. It is a truly special place.

A recently renovated apartment, Simons Hill in the NZ Dark Sky Reserve offers accommodation in Simons Pass. There is a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sarah’s place. Everything was so well thought out, cosy and relaxing for the perfect weekend away. The stars at night are spectacular, watching them from the Hot Tub was a real highlight. Sarah's dogs came to greet us each morning and are the most friendly adorable dogs we've ever met! Best host, best location and lovely hut. We cannot wait to come back again soon!

Place is great, good enough for a home away from home. Tania, the owner of the place was there to welcome when we arrived. Would stronly recommend Arches Cottage to anyone who need to stay in Twizel before heading to either MT Cook or Queenstown. The town centre is 5 mins drive & have 2 well stock supermarkets.

the Arches was a great place to spend a few nights. it’s very quiet and peaceful, spotlessly clean, good facilities and Tania is a great hostess. Twizel is very central to many things and a great little town. Tania making available the hot tub after a big day walking was just a huge bonus. would love to come back one day. highly recommend.
