Superb! A beautiful place with kind staff. Liked my stay for a few reasons: 1. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the whole place is nicely decorated with hammocks and wooden chairs. The complex resides with the forest and the pool is beautiful. 2. Had the best Sri Lankan dinner of my whole trip - don’t miss it. 3. Manager was beyond helpful with all matters and even helped me upon arrival and offered to pay my taxi driver who didn’t have change. 4. Price is reasonable - Great value for money. Would def recommend

We really enjoyed staying at Wild River Side. Off the main road and set in a beautiful garden with spice trees. We had dinner there and had some of the best Sri Lankan vegetable curries so far on our trip. Owner organised transport from Ella and to Tangalle at a reasonable price as well as the jeep for the safari. The cottage was clean and had warm shower and AC.

Amazing rooms very spacious and comfy beds, AC and a fan. Food is delicious for breakfast and dinner. Close to the national park and walking distance to the elephant transit home.

A beautiful place set in a stunning setting, simple rooms but everything you need. I loved floating in the river watching the birds and sitting by the river listening to the birds. Also the breakfast and dinner were really great. We saw a lot of animals at the safari park. The hotel driver Janaka is a very knowledgeable guide. Although many jeeps were speeding, the driver Janaka managed to get out of the way and go deep into the jungle to see the animals freely. They were very good at providing a perfect safari with perfect service.

The rooms are beautiful and the staff is very friendly. We did the safari at the hotel and it was amazing. Our driver was very good and we saw a lot of elephants up close. Breakfast and dinner were both good. Near a beautiful river, designed with the environment in mind. Highly recommended for a few days stay.
