What an absolute gem of a property, the infinity pool, breakfast, views from rooms and breakfast area, the hotel tour and hotel team & service were all excellent. Loved the rhythm and respect for nature. We could see elephants and horses from our room and spotted beautiful birds.

The hotel has only 10 bungalows, each disconnected from the others and "in the jungle"...it really allows you to disconnect from your daily stress! We stayed there for 2 days and really enjoyed the place.

We had the absolute privilege to be the first guests to check-in at Sigiriya Cashew Palace Resort after it reopened. It is the sort of hotel that is 6 stars for the soul. The family that run it are lovely and incredibly attentive. And the rooms are massive: we had a two bedroom family apartment, which had two bathrooms and a huge kitchen/living room/diner. Breakfast was terrific each day, and the one time we had dinner in the hotel was also excellent. The swimming pool onsite as well as ad hoc experiences like roasting cashews - hence the name! - are just added bonuses. It's also incredibly well positioned for the delights of Sigiriya and the rest of the cultural triangle. Just stay here, you won't regret it. And you may regret it if you don't.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like family not guests .. and the food was the best we have had so far .. from the traditional sri lankan food such as curries to the spanish influenced potatas bravos.. everything is cooked fresh ..an open kitchen so you can watch or as I did .. had a morning cooking lesson to make string hoppers , coconut sambal and Dahl.. .. too good ! . The rooms are large .. plenty of storage and sockets next to bed and great hot water shower. Pool , jacuzzi and wildlife in the garden.. location is amazing ..so quiet but can walk outside and there are shops and a cultural center with local entertainment . Beautiful walk to a lake also for the sunset... we were so happy to have chosen this place . Transport to anywhere can also be provided .

Great and very friendly staff in all departments of the hotel. The hotel’s very own naturalists are brilliant and are assisting with everything you need for a successful trip or excursion - water, juices, soft drinks and cool refreshing towels are always part of the service. We enjoyed the big pool for all hotel guests as well as our private pool next to the room which helped us to feel really relaxed. The hotel is a true sanctuary and we enjoyed the nature and natural sounds every second of our stay. A minimum 3 nights stay is highly recommended to have enough time to discover the historic places and the nature in this part of Sri Lanka as well as to relax on property (we stayed 4 nights).

It was really clean, the bed was comfortable. Just a really good host! Felt like having a second mom 🥹 She was waiting till late evening, knowing I come back. Even in the early morning (sunrise hike) she woke up with me and waited till I got picked up 🫣 I got a breakfast to go in the morning I left. Just thank you!

The family were so friendly and helpful. The food is lovely here. The views are amazing and so is the room. The bathroom has a view of lions rock. Highly recommend here! They can also help you out with transport to your next destination.

We stayed with Nuwan during cyclone Ditwah. His hospitality, kindness and generosity made a stressful situation much more manageable. The treehouse itself is perfect - plenty of space, strong ac, mosquito net, great bathroom and a cool balcony. We woke up each morning to a beautiful breakfast prepared by Nuwan. I cannot recommend this place enough and I assure you that Nuwan will make your stay a memorable one!
