Beldon Hotel was a spacious and very modern accomodation which was in a great location - nice and quiet as it was just a short walk up the hill from the bustling main street of Hiriketyia. The staff were lovely and the included breakfast was so delicious (endless options to choose from as well!) The Beldon was a little bit of luxury on our trip to Sri Lanka, would definitely recommend it!

The property is brand new and offers a very comfortable bed, huge bathroom and a large garden with an outdoor shower, a small kitchen and a nice sitting area. It’s very quiet but still less than five minutes walking to the beach and restaurants. You wake up to the sounds of nature and can observe monkeys from here. The owner is super helpful and friendly. He even brought us fresh coconut to enjoy.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay here! The family is incredibly kind and welcoming — from the moment we arrived, they made us feel right at home. Our room was spotless and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed: shampoo, soap, drinking water, and more. It was also spacious, with strong Wi-Fi and a beautiful view over the lake — simply perfect. The quality of this guesthouse is truly unbelievable for the price. The villa itself is beautiful, large, clean, and well-fitted with fans, air conditioning, a free-to-use washing machine, fridge, and cooker. The garden and balcony are super peaceful and well-kept. The host family is all you could ever ask for in a host family. They are all very kind, helpful, and will go to any lengths to make sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. They let us rent a scooter/motorbike for a good price and provided us with amazing breakfasts and dinners. Even when one of us had a medical emergency, our host Upul drove us to the hospital free of charge at 10 pm, then again at 8 am, and waited with us for hours, translating for us and helping us through the procedures. We cannot recommend this place enough.

We had a great stay. The host was very kind and helpful, he arranged a motorbike for us and gave us a shuttle to the bus station. The room was clean and the beaches there were beautiful. The breakfast was very good and a lot. We definitely recommend to stay here!

The room was very nice and it has a really lovely little garden that you can sit in and watch the sea and the animals, and fireflies at night, it is very peaceful and relaxing. The family are lovely and made it an unforgettable experience. I loved chatting to them and laughing and they will cook you lovely meals at their restaurant. I was genuinely sad to leave.

Mama was the most inviting and helpful person we have met in Sri Lanka. Her recommendations for food (Priyankas restaurant) and activities were second to none. She helped us rent a scooter for a great price. She even let us watch and learn how to make our delicious Sri Lankan breakfast with her. Cannot recommend her and her homestay enough. What a wonderful place and with such a lovely family. We hope to come back soon!
