We had an amazing experience at this lovely hotel! From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the greenery surrounding the property, felt like stepping into a peaceful paradise. It even rained heavily on our first day, which added to the charm and made the scenery even more magical the next morning. The bungalow was spacious of 2 stories, comfortable, and beautifully designed. There are only four bungalows on the property, which makes the atmosphere very private and serene. What really stood out was the team running the place. Though small and long working hours, they were super friendly, attentive, and professional. Everything from check-in to meals was handled with such care. Speaking of meals, the food was delicious! Every dish we had was fresh and full of flavor. they do breakfast on tray basis and not buffet since the number of guest are limited. They call you the night before to ask on the type each person would like to order.

The Symbol of Ella features a terrace and is situated in Ella, within just less than 1 km of Ella Spice Garden and a 12-minute walk of Ella Railway Station.

After returning home, we can easily say it was the best accommodation we had in Sri Lanka. The hosts were absolutely amazing and surprised us every day. The breakfast was delicious. We also received an incredible gift from them — it’s the best souvenir we brought back from Sri Lanka. Thanks again. A 10/10 rating isn’t enough; if it were possible, we’d give them 100/10! :)

It was a perfect stay for one night away for me and my wife. The staff was very friendly, the room was very clean and big space, very comfortable beds. Breathtaking view from my room. If I didn't have a busy schedule I'd stay for a few days. Perfect place for a peaceful stay.

This place is a dream, it felt so calm and serene, incredible view and totally private, with great WiFi and a lovely host who could bring food and drink when needed. It’s a little further out and involved a scooter or grab to get there but it’s worth it for the setting.

We stayed for one night! We had a ball! It was my birthday and the staff couldn't have been nicer. They were extremely welcoming and made such a great effort in every way. I was surprised with a lovely decorated room (see pictures 🥺). We had the most incredible food which was served to us where ever we wanted to eat! Everyone was so accommodating! We had beers down by the pool and we had one of our best evenings over looking the mountains in Ella. The next morning we watched the sunrise and it was beautiful. We had a sunrise swim and loved every minute. We wish we could have stayed one more night. If you are looking to stay somewhere with beautiful views of the mountains of Ella this is the place. It is a little bit outside of Ella the actual town but for us it was worth the trip.

The hotel offers great value for the money. It’s located on a lush, jungle-covered mountainside full of birds, making it a perfect spot to enjoy the sunrise—whether from your room or the restaurant. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming. For us, the manager, Mr. Sameera, was especially helpful, advising us on our Ella trip.
