The place was extremly clean, well designed, comfortable, spacious and modern. Staff and the owner were something you could just wish for-always there to help, smiling and ready to talk. We had the best Srilankan breakfast, which was more of an experience - I highly recommend it! When we arrived, they welcomed us with cold towels and some refreshing watermellon juice. We also got complimentary Xmass breakfast. Thank you for everything, Boutique by Sa team!

Janaka is THE host—truly exceptional in the hospitality scene in Sri Lanka. He is incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel completely at home, while also being highly professional and attentive to all our needs. He went out of his way to help us plan our days in Mihintale exactly as we wished—and what he managed to organize for us was no small feat! He was also genuinely concerned for our safety throughout our stay: while Sri Lanka is a very safe country, his attentiveness was still much appreciated. The food cooked by his wife was amazing—made with quality ingredients, prepared beautifully, and full of bold, authentic flavor. Easily one of the top three meals we had in Sri Lanka. If you're planning a trip to Anuradhapura or Mihintale to explore the sacred Buddhist sites, and you're looking for something authentic and off the tourist trail, stay in Mihintale. Its a beautiful place in the countryside, simple and rustic and so pretty ... the bed was very comfortable and both the room and bathroom very clean and the breakfast setting, looking at the garden and land beyond, created a very peaceful start to the day and the omelette was delicious ... the host and his wife are delightful, too!

We absolutely loved our stay here and would definitely recommend staying here. The place is a bit outside of the city and surrounded by rice fields, so it’s super beautiful and peaceful. Pick-Me worked great here and it was cheap to get to the city center, so you don’t have to worry about that. Ashan is such a kind host and a great cook as well. The Sri Lankan breakfast (curry and rice) was one of the best meals we had so far. The room is big and clean and the bed was super comfy. We would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Anuradhapura.
