The beach view is perfect, and the room is something that you’d pay 65 USD for in a tourist area. The hosts are very communicative. The aircon works well. The bed is extremely firm. The location is a short distance from larger towns, North and South. There is room to park 2-3 cars total.

By far the best place of my trip! This is one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed at. The house is located in a beautiful peaceful garden in a cozy area. The rooms are by far the most beautiful rooms I’ve seen, design to perfection. The rooms were very clean and there is an overall peacefulness of the whole house. I was greeted by the most genuinely nice owners who made my stay extra special. The breakfast was delicious, a selection between local or continental. I can highly recommend this, a perfect oasis after a day on the beach. I will be back!

We spent one night at the Black Monkey Villa in mid-September and felt completely at home. The accommodation is tastefully and functionally furnished - the air conditioning, hairdryer and fridge are in mint condition and worked perfectly. The beds are very comfortable and the covered outdoor area invites you to enjoy the beautiful view of the greenery even when it rains. The shower was a real highlight - by far the best we experienced during our stay in Sri Lanka. We were able to relax wonderfully and would definitely come back on our next visit to Sri Lanka!
