It was idyllic - we felt immediately at peace after walking through the doors, the staff couldn’t have been more attentive yet not intrusive. Given there’s only 3 rooms, it was quiet and felt like you had it to yourself but there was a buzz in the evenings at dinner.

The hotel was recently renovated and newly opened, and the old pillars, beams and ceilings have been preserved, which was also very cool. The room was beautifully furnished and really lovely, with a view of the garden. Architecturally gorgeous. Dinner and breakfasts were delicious and perfectly executed. More importantly the overall service was professional, gracious and attentive without being obtrusive. This was the most memorable point of our trip. On our next trip to Japan we will definitely check out it’s sister location in Toyama.
